MBA 15 inch has a six speaker sound system. I just went the last year trying to have an iPad Pro as a laptop, just traded in for the new MBA 15 inch 512gb. Maybe it’s just me, but a laptop makes it so much easier to sit on a couch and work as opposed to the top heavy iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard.

I agree. My iPP is less stable than my MBP.

The 11" iPad Air/Pro with MagicKeyboard (trackpad) is lighter than the MacBook Air, and the iPad 10 with SmartKeyboardFolio (trackpad) is lighter than the 12" MacBook Air. And you can get lightweight trackpad keyboards for the 11” iPad Air/Pro.

Again, screen size for screen size, turning an iPad into a laptop via a keyboard and trackpad case incurs a weight penalty compared to a laptop. It really is as simple as that.

Yes, small screen and small size is what makes something ultraportable instead of just more portable.

I don't think a device that is far thicker, is heavier and has only a marginally smaller footprint is more portable.

Certainly I don't think many people are going to say the 12" MacBook was merely portable and the 11" iPad with Magic Keyboard is ultraportable. That's just twisting definitions to keep arguing.
