I think this is probably just something they are considering... problem is this will drive up cost, and although it doesn’t bend as much, it will be more prone to snapping.
Drive up Cost. Really. Engineering ribs into the titanium casting is not going to break the bank. Adding 1mm to the thickness would not prevent me from fitting it in my backpack. Probably would still bend if flexed. Maybe they should be made of bendable material. Flexipad.

Does the bend led other issues? I’ve just read some screen unresponsiveness thing on the last 5 pages. How does it happen/start?
I’m about to buy a 2018 12.9” Pro LTE with a slight bend.

If a seller is saying a slight bend, I probably would give it a miss... as it’s most likely understated, make sure you examine it fully before buying...

The bend can lead to further issue with screen responsiveness etc...
