Since there is a real user battle regarding this question, come on users! Who is going to win!? ;)

This will be THE poll.

2011 doubled the 2010 :D
PS: sorry for these messages, but I'd like to keep alive this thread for a future proof!

I think it will be... April 2011 for iPad with gyro, higher res display, front and rear facing camera (3 - 5 megapixels) with 720p "HD" recording, 512mb - 1gb RAM, double the storage (128gb) and Please Please Please an _______ FM Radio. Also it may have: heartbeat sensor, 3D - without the glasses - like 3DS, faster processor.

And an (very unlikely) 7 inch iPad in November. Personally I find 7 inch better to grip and hold in the hand; but, I love the "full size" keyboard. --- I just put this because of all the rumours on Mac Rumours.

I think that a back-camera will never appear on the iPad, at least the 9.7 inches. Ok for front-camera to support FaceTime.

Who takes photos or videos with a 9.7" flat panel?

Augmented reality is the future - Samsung know it - look at the ad for the: Galaxy Tab - 3mp rear facing camera.

A rear facing camera would be better on a 7 inch rather than a 9.7 inch but 720p video + iMovie + Garageband + iWeb + iPhoto (editing photos - not just viewing) + updated iWork + Real Photoshop + current iOS = Brilliant consumption device AND a fantastic creation device

I agree for a future iPad as a "fantastic creation device", but I still do believe that if you want to take good pictures, you have to use a real and good digital camera — and then import photos with the Camera Connection Kit.

And also for HD videos. I have a Sanyo Full HD videocamera, and then I can see the imported videos with the Camera Connection Kit directly on the iPad — it's H.264 compatible.

So, at least for me: HD videocamera + connection kit + iMovie on iPad = heaven ;)

Looks like, in the end, that there're not so much users that think about a November new iPad.

You forgot a few things - here's my list

- More RAM
- Front facing camera
- Brushed Titanium housing
- Longer battery life (2-4 weeks of constant on)
- HUD
- Tazer
- K and L band RADAR
- Automatically inflates into a 4 person liferaft when submersed
- Ejection seat (family size)
- Ability to replicate food items, especially a wide range of alcoholic beverages
- adjustable X-Ray (so you can see bones, or just through clothes:D)
- Ability to add 3-4 inches to your penis, GUARANTEED
- Automatically launches precision airstrikes at idiots who post stupid threads.

Lets hope they do less but more notable upgrades than the ones done to the iPod Touch, come on, three years to add a camera to the iPod?

Don't - I was being serious.

Gyro - there a space for it in the current iPad.

Higher res display - not retinal but they could increase it past HD - 1080p.

Front camera - to promote FaceTime.

Rear camera - for augmented reality - the galaxy tablets has it - Apple has to keep up.

512 - 1gb RAM - The iPad needs this for 720p rendering, and will help with the Safari refreshing issue.

Faster processor - Maybe a jump to 1.2 or even 1.5 - and this is 2011!

iOS 4.x / iOS 5 for iPad - widgets, imovie, GarageBand, iWeb, iPhoto...the last three are a bit - non-Apple but you know.

We'll get iPad 2 in April, no question. As for features, I'd guess that the iPad will get similar cameras to the iPod touch (ie facetime and 720p, but no high-res stills.) The display might get higher res, but I'm not so sure.

I don't buy for a second that Apple will release smaller iPads. I think 9.7 is the one and only.

Note to self - Nishi100 has no sense of humour.

Thank you. I really, really, really appreciate that. :D

And, BTW, I do have a sense if humour (when talking to people face to face) it's just that I find it hard to be humorous in a forum.

FYI: I smiled when I read your post.

Well .. 12 - 86.
Where are all those users shouting for an end-of-the-year release? ... no, really .. trolls?

There have been rumours of an before Christmas 7 inch iPad release. I love the idea of a 7 inch iPad as long as it has: higher PPI (same res as this 9.7 inch), gyro, rear facing camera would be better as it will be easier to hold, front facing camera, more RAM and Fm Radio. But, as always, with Apple it'll probably be the same specs as the 9.7 inch one - but with a Front facing camera.

I highlight this poll because there're already other post like "Will be the iPad refreshed door Xmas?"

Maybe this could answer in one word.

We need a sticky for all info / speculation on iPad 2.

Currently there are 8 iPad 2 threads on the first page and one more, but is more indirect: about HDR.
