Macrumors is guessing there will be an announcement on March 26, but I’m not sure where they got that date from.
It was actually June, not March, that MR (and others) have muted.

my guess is soft release ....no event... on 14th march. not long now
not the ipad x or whatever that is...just the regular uprated ipad base model
In their Quick Takes on Friday they brought up the timing of a possible March event. That’s what I was referring to.
My uneducated guess, no event, just an announcement about a spec update to the 2017 iPad will be this month with a release soon afterward. Then in June a WWDC event announcement of the new iPad Pro X with a release soon afterward in time for those going back to school. The Sept/October big event will be reserved for Apples moneymaker, the new iPhone models, in time for the Holiday shopping season.

That's for the new iPad Pro. Rumours still suggest a release of a non-pro model this month.
To be honest... I am not that keen on faceid. If the ipad (regular) gets a refresh and keeps touchid then that will be the one for me. May be the last refresh of the touchid ipads....
That’s part of the reason why I chose the 8 Plus over the X. Call me old fashioned, but I really prefer the home button and TouchID. So I’ll stick with best and probably final devices that offer them. They should serve me well for the next 2-3 years and then I can weigh whatever options are available at the time.
Rumours say there will be a release in March. That’s all anyone here know. Your guess is as good as anyone’s.

No way Apple would release the new iPad Pro with out a big “to do” so I am betting on an upgraded entry iPad if anything. The new iPad Pro will be released in September.

Nobody's here talking about pro's this month, that will be june or october (def not september, they haven't done iPad's at iPhone event since forever). This thread is about the supposed successor of the 2017 iPad which should be coming this month.
Most people are have wroten 13th or 14th as release date....it is bases on rumors...i believe well need to wait for september
Don't make these uneducated guesses, when you obviously know jack **** about Apple and their product timelines from the last few years. You're only spreading fake news that is based on literally nothing and can be debunked by anyone who have been following Apple.
Again definitely not september since Apple doesn't do iPad anymore during iPhone events. So maybe October for iPad pro (though probably during WWDC in June) and new iPad this month (again almost 100% sure unless the Eurasian trade documents turn out to be fake).
