Anyone else just get this email?

Apple just sent me a verification email that my ipad will be ready and waiting.

Only odd thing is it showed that I had 2 reservations, one for a 64gb and one for a 32gb.

I had a 32gb reserved and changed it to a 64gb, so idk what happened.

At this point I think I will probably just leave it that way, see if someone I know wanted one, etc.

yes

Yup. Same exact thing too. I originally reserved a 16 GB, then canceled and changed to a 32 later on the 12th. Email says I have two, when I log into the system it says I have no reservation.

Seems like a potential mess.

Same here, showing my original 32 and the 64 I changed it to. One question...

When you click on "Edit Your Reservation" and then login via your Apple ID, mine says no upcoming reservations. Does that happen for others as well?

I got one too, I guess they all went out at the same time. Mine said that anyone with a reservation will be directed to go to a special reservation line at the Apple Store and that I have between 9am and 3pm to be there or my reservation will be forfeited. Basically the same info they already provided.

I only reserved one unit - a 64GB model, but I had some trouble with the reservation system and had to try a number of times to get it to finish.

I did get the initial "you're reserved" email with the correct 64GB model and qty listed, and then today's 2nd confirmation email.

On the first email, if I click on the "modify reservation" button it loads up a page with the store info on it and says my reservation is confirmed.

On the 2nd email (today's), if I edit reservation and log in, it says I have no reservations.

Seeing as I received not one, but two emails it seems I am definitely reserved. But the "no reservations" showing when you login is a little disconcerting.

Yeah, reservation system seems to be FUBAR.

I ordered 1 16GB. An hour later I changed to 2 16GBs. The reservation email I just rec'd says I have 3 16GBs reserved for me.

If this is the trend then there clearly will be plenty of excess stock for walk-ins if only b/c Apple didn't really edit existing reservations but instead added to them.

I'm only buying 2 so the 3rd will be left at the store for someone else to buy.

Here is the generic text of the email for the curious. It should put an end to whether there will be two lines or not. There will be it would seem:

When you come in to pick up your iPad, you'll be directed to a line for those with reservations. We'll have Specialists ready to help you set up your iPad, free workshops, and more. We look forward to seeing you at the store.

Sincerely,
The Apple Retail Store team

Can someone post the link to edit the reservation? I reserved mine on the first day but never received any emails. I'm getting worried and would like to check.

Mine was accurate

I too had problems with the reservation site initially, but my reservation email was accurate.

The email was sent at 8:25am March 31, 2010. It did not come directly from Steve Jobs.

the reservation on the web is talking about if you have setup an individual appointment time or something like the genius bar, personal shopping assistant, business, etc. It's not talking about the iPad reservation.

Try this. No guarantee, it's just what was linked to my email conf.

Ya, I figured that out, but they should not have added it to the email because it implies you can edit your iPad reservation.

Oh, I see. N/M.

Odd then that Apple would point you to that to "edit your reservation."

Another place you can check--go to the website for the store where you reserved it. In the gray box with "store information" on the top of the page, on the top right-hand side, there's a link marked, "Make reservations" in bold and just beneath it a link for "view my reservations". You can try it, but mine also comes up that I have no reservations in spite of getting both emails. You might also give the store a call where you made the res and see if they can check for you.

I've got the same problem.

Have ordered 2 64 gig to pick them up in Boston.
Fews days later, i cancelled and did the same reservation pick up in NY 5th av store.

And I juust received a mail tolding me

Same here! There is no reserved item showing on my second email. Apple Store, West 14th St, NYC.

I initially ordered two 16GB model and have changed it to two 32GB.

I ordered 1 32g iPad and got the email this morning that it will be waiting for me a 9am. :)

Come on Saturday . . .

While buying iTunes gift cards at reduced pricing, I also visited my local Apple Store. The concierge was able to logon to some concierge website and indeed verify my name was on the list. From what I could tell, it's done by first name alphabetically; which put me at the top :)

I had originally reserved a 32GB model and changed it to the 16GB model. My e-mail showed both but after clicking the reservation link and logging in it reflected the correct 16GB reservation.

Eitherway, I printed out the confirmation page and expect to take that with me to show them just in case.

Yeap. I got my e-mail today.

Reserved Item(s)
1
iPad with Wi-Fi 64GB
$699

Edit: I also printed this e-mail out :). I'll be bringing them both.

I pre-ordered mine to ship because when I did a pre-reservation to pick up the iphone 3GS at an Apple Store, they told me that it is based on first come first serve basis, meaning that they dont actually hold your item at the store, it is dependent on how many of this items come into that particular store. Basically if you are not in line with your reservation printout in hand battling the other reservation people, no matter if you get there before 3pm or not, your item could be given to someone else...not sure this is true or not...but I wasnt taking the chance with this type of release. I have heard plenty of horror stories of Apple stores screwing up reservations...right now my Ipad is sitting safely on the ground in Lousiville, KY awaiting Saturday delivery. I wish everyone luck with your stores. I hope what I dealt with is not true.
