Are the Apple stores getting shipments daily? The Apple store and Best Buy was sold out today. (NH). The guy at best buy said they had 30 on this past Sunday.

Supposedly the Apple stores get replenished the next day when they sell out and the Best Buys have to wait a week for a shipment.
Does anyone know how many of the 1 million units that were scheduled to be shipped this month have been?

Managers at BB I spoke to said for ppl to watch this weekends Sunday circular because they might have a new shipment of iPad's for Sunday morning.
They did that for the Wii. When Best Buy knows they are going to advertise it in their circular they hold their stock in the back for Sunday. They probably have them in the back but they won't sell them otherwise they don't want to advertise a product not in stock.
I went to 3 Apple Stores in the SoCal area ( 3rd Street Promenade, Century City, Beverly Center ) and they were all sold out... *sigh* and no one could tell me when the next shipment was coming in, according to one "Genius" "The shipments are all random"

I've ben waiting two days and it is killing me hahaha I want this thing so bad and every store BB and Apple are sold out so I "reserved" one at the closest store and he didn't tell me when they get shipments.... I think the worst thing I could have done was start downloading apps and looking at videos because it's killing me

all the apple stores in NOVA are sold out? Which model? I was thinking of getting a 16GB and was in the clarendon store yesterday but the apple employees there were so rude and unhelpful with my friend who was trying to ask if they would pricematch the white macbook to match microcenters offer that I said screw them and we left.
ALL haha every size.... I called Clarendon yesterday and the lady that answered the phone acted pissed when I asked her if they had them in stock. I know that when (and if) I work at the one in Georgetown I won't act like such a B haha
I checked stock this past Saturday at my BB on their website. They had all the models in stock. I drove an hour to pick one up.
I walk to the computer section where everyone is playing with the iPads. I told the BB guy that I would like to purchase a 64GB iPad. He looks at me and says "yes we have them right up there in that cage but I can't sell you one. We have to keep them for tomorrow because we have a big ad coming out" He then just turns and walks away not giving me time to respond. I told the other BB employee standing there that I just drove 1 hour to get one of these and that BBs website showed in stock. He said we have them all in stock but I'm not going to sell you one today. You can come back tomorrow and buy one.

Visited an Apple store Sunday to pick up some drives...
People were 3 deep, either using an iPad or waiting to use one. The guy who rang me up (hmmmm.... that's a dated phrase now, isn't it!) said that it was like that from opening to close and that they had to be pretty forceful to get people to leave when the store was closing.
Anyways, with regard to stock, he said they had "plenty" and they got shipments pretty much every day to replenish stock.
But this was Sunday, perhaps things have changed since then.

It was this Sunday just gone that Best Buy stores were holding stocks for. The iPad promotion started this Sunday and runs for the week, so if a Best Buy store has any remaining stock, they'll sell, not hold on to them.
That was my experience exactly. The store manager said they were required to hold back 7 of each model for the Sunday promotion and they'd be sold on a first-come first-served basis when the store opened. I was first in line and got mine, but they were sold out within 10 minutes.
Bought my iPad in BB couple days after release - wasn't really going to buy one until I played with it and saw what iPad apps look like. Last Sunday went to the same store to buy a case and they did not have anything iPad related in stock. Went to an Apple store and another BB store and none of them had any iPads or Apple cases.
the clarendon store is terrible, that staff is awful... im thinking of writing old stevey a letter just to rant about their TERRIBLE customer service... he prob would either not read it, or not care... but maybe... just maybe he would get the right people to go off on them for being so rude... (it wasnt even crowded when I went)
So much for the idea there would be plenty available and they'd be easy to find.

When I finally decided to bite the bullet last Friday and buy one I figured I'd have no trouble. I went to Best Buy first and they said they were out until Sunday. Then I went to the Apple store and they were completely sold outnof all three models also! However the genius I talked to told me to call later that afternoon in case they got a shipment and they did. I think Apple gets shipments daily or at least every few days.
i called the 5 apple stores around me, none of them had it. One store told me to call at about 12-1 tomorrow. The others said they didn't know when.
I also checked online for the ipad and no best buys had them.
