He makes a lot of sense. Guys like this are often labelled quacks - but he's spot on imo. Guys get hit by a car - people don't really care. Maybe they even get off a bit on the drama. But if you drop your phone, oh hell no, end of the world.

Look how many people support wars and are openly racist or bigoted, yet tear their hair out begging mommy to buy them a shiny iPad

Alex may be dramatic but he talks about real issues that are actually important in our society.
