Yep, this. Of course, it all depends on what you're reading. Comics and magazines, for example, are nicer on LCD.

The 6-8" e-ink readers are great for fiction. The bigger ones are good for manga, too. I actually do read manga on a 6" Paperwhite 3 (300ppi) but I know a number of folks who find it too small for that. I've also tried reading manga on an older Paperwhite 2 (212ppi) but there were a lot of stuff that's illegible due to the low pixel density.

I find my Paperwhite scree to be just too small for my reading enjoyment - I'm spoiled by the 10.5 iPP's large screen. My Kindles - original & Paperwhite - get zero usage now (I don't read in direct sunlight).

I have had quite a few Kindles. My “daily driver” reader is an Oasis 2. I actually like the smaller Oasis 1 but like the larger screen of the 2. Even my iPad Mini 4 is too big for me to want to use it much for reading. Wouldn’t even try with iPP 9.7 or 10.5 although the iPad’s are great for PDFs and books with color.

I agree. iPads are great for comics or books with colour but for reading novels it has to be my kindle oasis 2. I’ve had various kindles over the years and always preferred them to lcd screens (tablets, phones£ for reading.

iPad is a great device for "browsing the web, reading and sending email, enjoying photos, watching videos, listening to music, playing games, reading e-books and more.
