Does anyone know how to get RID of the home screen TODAY VIEW tiles? It wasn't there when I started after the ipadOS beta update, then I clicked on something that said (you can always changed this in settings) but now it's there ALWAYS and I really cannot find the setting in the os to turn it OF and get it back to home screen just filled with tiles (and small tiles too mind you, wish I could have the regular larger tiles back)

Scroll down to the bottom of the tiles and click on the Edit button. Flip the switch on the very top.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to bring this up and please excuse me for being new to the forums, but I am having an issue with the beta. I'll save you all the details.

Long story short: I installed the beta and now I am stuck in the Hulu app. Now, the device is not responding to any attempts to go home or to shut down the device.

You are not the only one. I am restoring my 2nd Gen 12.9 for the 7-8th time. I got the Beta to load correctly once and got stuck updating apps. I have tried installing on a clean install and restore. Luckily my iphone has run flawless with the Beta.

How did everyone install the Beta?

Quite easily just went to main site and added profile then updated in software update.

Even downloaded on both my iPads

Won’t risk it on my iPhone though

The normal way? Download public beta profile, restart, check for updates then install. Gestures weren't working so had to restart again afterwards.

I'm using the beta on a practically empty iPad (it was set up as new just a week or so ago) with a dummy account. That way, the beta could not mess anything up on my primary devices nor iCloud account.

I ask because I updated firmware and apps on clean install and from a restored file. Still getting stuck.. maybe it wasn’t charged over 50%.

I’ve got the opposite issue. The Today view has disappeared and I can’t find an option to bring it back?

Edit: fixed it. It seems to have dropped down and off the screen

I’m having some of the widgets not working on a restart - sometimes calendar empty (Next up) but XE biggest culprit, Disappeared on restart, then came back, then next power off gone again.

It’s very cool having widgets locked on home screen for quick reference
[doublepost=1561720971][/doublepost]Mouse is cool but frustrating as we are 80% there!!!

Really hope Apple is listening and push this into a general use option instead of just accessibility as will be cool for certain desktop tasks!!

Great beta - already feels way more like a computer and already made life easier for me!!!!!!!

Tried it but can’t use it as company management profile won’t load on it. Pity, didn’t really have any problems in the day that I tried it, and it is a huge improvement compared to the iOS 12 in the look and feel.

Anybody have a solution to apps hanging when updating and not actually updating? None of my apps will update.

My solution was to restore from an iOS 12 backup. The software is obviously not ready yet

It's not that important to me. I think I will stay with it until the next update and see how it goes. Hope they hurry to fix it because if it's this bad and is the default OS on the new phones in September the amount of crying is going to be immense.

So far I only have a couple apps that won't open and crash and sometimes Face ID is a bit funny. Unfortunately two of the apps are ones I use the most. Oh well I can log in from a browser now that at least Safari kicks ass. Pretty sloppy release from Apple however.
