Has anyone had any issues installing iPadOS 15 on their iPad? Mine downloaded it and was installing it and was on the apple logo with loading bar and then it went blank and turns off. I can force it back on and I see the apple logo for a few seconds and then it goes blank again. Any ideas?

My 2020 iPad Pro 11” is crashing and looping any time I interact with it…looks like I need to restore back to 14.6.

No issues with my 12.9'' 2018 iPad Pro, running (mostly) smoothly. But this is the risk we take with early betas. If a wipe and install doesn't solve it, then go back to 14.

My iPhone 7 did the something as well. It went blank for few minutes and I left it along. Then I see loading bar comes back and install was successful.

Cellular keeps shutting off on my 2018 12.9”, safari crashes a lot, horrible battery. Prob will restore back to 14.6 and wait for the public beta. The 1st one is always a hot mess :)

Only issue I have so far on a 2021 1tb is a facetime bug. It is one of the best day one betas so far

So I restored and tried 15 again..safari is working but now the widgets are stuck at the top of the screen and won't delete. lol

Ill just go to 14.6 in the morning

I had the same issue. iPad Pro 2021 11”. Had to go back to 14.6. Tried to install iPadOS15 a second time and the same result. There are a few other users in the stickied thread reporting an issue as well.

Yup. Actually booted into iPadOS 15 fine and I used it for a few hours, but then I tried a hard reboot to see if that would fix my Home Screen icon spacing. Stuck in a boot loop and now I am being forced to revert to iPadOS 14.6. Oh, well. Guess I'll try again on DB2.

I’m having the same issue with my first gen 12.9” iPad Pro. Just stuck in a loop. I’ll go back to iOS 14.7 tomorrow.

Are you guys able to successfully get back down to 14.6? My iMac is crashing out halfway through the Restore attempt... Just great. I should've waited.

I was able to go back to iOS 14.6. But now I have to update to iOS 14.7 Beta 2 to be able to restore from iCloud backup. 😔

Ah shoot, those build-dependent restore conditions are annoying. I was just able to restore my iCloud Backup from this morning, which was performed on 14.6.

For anyone who might be having difficulty restoring: I was finally able to get back to 14.6 by letting the IPSW download complete in ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates, copying that IPSW to my Desktop, then Option clicking on Restore in Finder and directly pointing to the new IPSW. My iPad was only staying in DFU mode for a limited time so I had to have the IPSW already downloaded and ready when initiating the process.

I was really enjoying iPadOS 15, shame that I had to revert.

I had the same problem. After leaving the iPad doing its thing overnight the behaviour stopped, when I plugged it in. Maybe indexing happened for the app library thing which affected the dock.

I couldn't even get a PC or Mac to see my 3rd Gen 12.9" iPad in restore mode in either iTunes or the finder but it would see the iPad just find when it was booted up into iPad OS 15. I was able to do the restore using the 14.6 ISPW in iTunes and do a restore from the latest 14.6 backup. Very odd behavior..

Wait, was your iPad in a boot reboot loop or just stuck apps?

It killed mine too, endless reboot loop
I only have access to windows and I get error 4005 when I try to restore it. I hope the Apple store will be able to fix it

At the end of booting the screen went into an endless black with indicator and login screen flash cycle. I think it might be possible, that both problems are connected and that some things happen at the end preventing the system from going into the normal user interface. I kept it flashing all night and plugged it in in the morning and it stopped. Maybe this will help...

Ah I see. Hmm, ok maybe I'll try that then. I reverted to 14.6 because I was concerned the flashing would be an issue

This is the exact same thing that happened to me. (2021 iPad Pro 11" 512GB) I've never had this happen with a developer beta before, so hooray for new experiences, I guess.

Eventually, the crash loop—it feels more like a respring to me—would cause the device to completely restart. Once I was in that state, I was able to put the device into Recovery Mode and perform a restore to 14.6 via Finder.

The restart did not solve the problem, it kept respringing. Only after I plugged it in, it suddenly stopped.

After upgrading my iPad to iPadOS 15, my iPad is stuck on Configuring iPad, "Installing configuration from ......", "The profile could not be found."

No button to continue. Please help?
