Thanks for ur input! But the document stated that it is being released on the 27th of this month??!!!
Not sure where that document came from but in the past, release date has always been 1 week after the pre-order launch. So if it's on the 13th for the pre-order, release date will be the 20th.

Last year, iphone XS and XS Max pre-order date was the 14th, and was released on the 21st.

I was looking in the html code of a website and I discover a blank page with the possible future names of the iPhones.
The website is legit and sell accessories for iPhone since a couple of years.

The link to the website is :

iPhone 11
iPhone 11R
iPhone 11 Max

It’s a fake “document”.

Interesting if the trend now is to discontinue the previous year’s top phones in order to introduce the next new top phone. Understandable given the new phone range in terms of pricing, but at the same time limits options if going directly to Apple or a carrier for your next phone.

Also, Bloomberg has been talking about Apple’s upcoming keynote this past week and the analysts have all been calling the phones, the “11 Pro” and “11 Pro Max”. Didn’t catch mention of the 11R, but that seems logical as well.

Guess I’ll find out what the “Pro” means in a few days. This camera block better be impressive and it would also be amazing to have improved, Pro-level modem/reception internals. The latter is wishful thinking though.

So unnecessarily convoluted.

iPhone 11 Mini OR "iPhone Classic" (SE equivalent)
iPhone 11
iPhone 11 Max

There, fixed it for them.

There’s a reason why Google commands less than 1% of the smartphone market share.

They’re about to release their 4th Pixel phone. I don’t count their Nexus phones as their own design. So they have time to catch up.

I think the problem then becomes, consumers aren't willing to pay $999 for something called "Mini" or "Classic."

How does this solution allow for a normal size phone (by current standards) at a starting price of $750? These simple solutions don't account for it.

Well, that's where they've gone wrong IMO...

The delineation between the Xs and Xr is so minute that I don't think it should exist.

They need to bring the base flagship model closer to the mid-range, like it was when the Plus first came into play.

And if the consumer needs a less expensive option than that, they can purchase last year's model.

Apple needs to return to the values that got the iPhone to this point in the first place, simplicity and focus being two of them.

Are they not doing that this year?

XR
11
11 Pro
11 Pro Max

Last year, the XR was arguably not quite part of the flagship series because of the single rear lens. This year, the iPhone 11 with its dual lens should satisfy expectations for the vast majority.

Pro features = Super wide angle lens, GigLTE, OLED

IMO, the naming convention this year may be eye rolling, but it's logical.

I wonder if Apple would announce it like this.
iPhone 11: Instead of saying it’s a continuation from the XR, Apple shows how it’s an improved version of iPhone Xs, with the same dual camera, better SoC, same OLED screen and Face ID, then boom, price drop from $999 to $749. The crowd cheers.

Then Apple would show the Pro iPhones separately, then claim how their $999 price point is amazing

Google is never serious about hardware. They’re an advertising company in the end. Look at their attempts at tablets. Even the supposedly “windows killer” ChromeOS doesn’t get much love from its own father.

And Google has been relying on HTC’s/LG’s hardware design for the Pixe lineup. All the hardware features are just derivatives of what HTC/LG were doing. The only thing Google is doing is the software, like the camera app.

But we already know it won't have OLED and almost certainly won't have GigLTE.

Gurman, with a pinned tweet:

"Updated prediction: iPhone 11, iPhone Pro, iPhone Pro Max."

Why do we need the 5c, Xr and now, apparently, the 11?

I realize they are trying to an encourage upgrades by offering more "new" options, but it's short-sighted.

The flagship should be a premium phone at a premium, but not unreasonable (i.e. current), price.
