For me, I've kind of sort of identified that there is ONE app that is affecting my battery usage.

I typically close all my apps at the end of the day - by swiping them shut in the multi-task screen. When I have done that, I get an error in the Battery app when selecting the hour-windows thru the night "usage by app not available during x to x am".

However, if I leave my apps running and idle, I can see that one of my apps, the Hidrate Spark app (smart water bottle) starts to ramp up to 100% battery usage (background) from the time I put my phone down and not use it until I pick it up and start using it again.

I suggest you guys leave your apps running overnight, and see if you get 1 app that's running away with the over-usage.

I spoke to apple, had them do a diagnostic on my phone and its still over 95% charge capacity - its not a hardware issue. Seems like its a specific app that's running away with usage.

I've contact the app developer via their website as well as left a review on the app with my experience and hopefully I get a response.

I had moderate battery drain on my 11 PM just after installing 15.1. But over the last few days, since Friday, the battery life have improved. I’m usually left with 4 hours SoT with 52-55% tensioning at 10.30pm daily during work days. On weekends I get even more.

There are a lot of crappy apps out there. A lot of developers are creating cross platform apps. These cross platform technologies are used out of cost concerns. Instead of using apple developed tech other approaches are utilized. These approaches sometimes run in a browser, which the novice does not realize, or are 'converted' into apple native software. A lot of things can go wrong. Houses are built relying on bricks baked by manufacturers that might be checked. There once was malware in code used in thousands of apps. On my Mac Skype sometimes pushes the cpu to 100 percent for hours when I'm not around. Skype was bought and re-engineered by MS. So yes, a rogue app might be the cause but then it should stick out in the percent usage.
