Hi there, I have an iPhone 11 64GB, updated now to 18.7.8. The issue I have is that within this month my iPhone is working differently. When I am using my phone, WhatsApp and other messaging apps work fine, but when I lock and keep the phone not in use for 10 minutes, no messages are received, even for hours. The only solution is for me to unlock the phone and open WhatsApp or the app, then it refreshes for new data. It's like closing background data transfer or something.
What I tried is firstly, I upgraded to 18.7.8 iOS as I told earlier, but that didn't help. I reset the phone, used a new Apple ID, and freshly started WhatsApp and other apps (with a new number, no backup), but it still remains the same. I tried enabling Find My iPhone and Location Services so maybe that will keep it awake in the background, but it didn't help. Background App Refresh is enabled, the phone is not on Power Saving Mode, the battery is also good.
I tried a trick found on Reddit of installing WA Business and moving data to that, deleting the original WhatsApp, receiving a message on WA Business, then restarting and installing the original WhatsApp again and porting data back to that, which should fix the issue, but that also didn't help.
I reset the device twice without restoring a backup, but no luck. Any idea what is happening?
