I picked my iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB Midnight Green up just now from the Apple Store in Sydney Australia.

First impressions:
- The midnight green is a very unique colour. Looks military green in direct light and dark grey/slate in other. Pictures don’t do it justice.
- The matte glass is a very good design choice. Makes it feel very premium. And less slippery.
- The camera bump is not too bad. The way they’ve used a single sheet of glass really blends it in well with the rest of the phone.

Setting up the phone now so will post more impressions later.

Ask me anything and I’ll try and answer.

I know you obviously haven’t had it long enough to come to any conclusions...but First impressions how’s the reception? And what phone did you come from/how does it compare to that ones?

How does the matte back feel? I like the smooth back but will not miss the scariness of having it slip out of my hand.

Interested if you notice the phone becoming slippy as you hold it and use it

Seen some reviews/comment noted that they feel it is more slippy than the glass back of the X/XS
It feels less slippery for me.
It has a very high quality and premium feel to it.

Looks amazing. How's the weight feel in your hand/hands? Does it feel substantially heavier than your previous phone?
The weight feels exactly the same as an iPhone XS Max.

Does the frosted glass behave like on the Google Pixel where marks like running your fingernail across it are more visible, more so on darker colors vs lighter/white, but wipes off?

A few more impressions:
- FaceID is crazy fast.
- can’t really see how it supports wider angle FaceID like Apple claims. I still have to hover over the phone when it’s lying flat on the desk.
- a few others have reported that the screen seems to be more yellow when out side by side against the XS Max under same settings and brightness.

Does it have 6GB of ram or 4?

Thanks for the info. Have you run iOS13 on the XS? I found that it sped up my faceID a lot, so just want to confirm that the speed is from hardware, not software. Seems to be a lot of conflicting information on this.
