iPhone 11 Pro iPhone 11 Pro Max - First impressions thread

Oh my god that midnight green is so beautiful. I love the color shifts depending on what light it is in. I can't wait to see mine in person later today.
I don’t like the tri camera set up, so if I don’t like my 11 and decided to get the pro max, I would go with a dark color, less noticeable.
It is only accessible by the camera and not apps. It is not confirmed but being investigated.
Anybody else noticed that when recording a video and zooming in/out (so switching between lenses) the video stutter for a moment and the colours temperature changes? Apple touted how they worked to make the videos looking smooth when changing lenses, but it doesn't seem they did an amazing job so to me...
Mine is supposed to be delivered via UPS at 3pm. Let’s see how accurate that time is. I ordered the Pro Max 256 in Space Gray. I had the regular X in sliver so I wanted something different.
I never cared personally for the gold but the midnight green is nice. I like those pictures of it and how different lighting affects the color. Thanks for sharing with us.

I ordered both green and silver.
For me, the green is meh. It’s mostly a weird grey. Easy call to return.
The silver? The back is just a bit bland, and the edge slightly distracting with the black screen.
So I’ve ordered the gold. Having seen pictures of it here, I think it’s the one for me.
Arrives Monday.

Decided to head to the Apple store this morning and hop in line (never done that before). Got there at 5:45 and was 10th in line. By the time they opened at 8 there's was 100-150 people if I had to guess. Grabbed a Space Grey 256gb Pro Max. Was going to get Silver but didn't like how much the cameras stuck out on the White back.
First impressions are mostly good but there are some meh factors.
The back glass feels more slippery than the XS Max and X
Getting my e-sim moved was a bit of a pain but its done
The charging brick is a fugly but no biggie
I miss 3d touch
Other than that, I haven't really done anything yet.

Night mode is an obvious difference but not enough to call it pro (even the reg 11 has this). Honestly a lot hinges on deep fusion being magical. Otherwise don’t see the big deal here or anything pro yet.
If I was on fence I’d wait til that feature actually gets here. Apple burned iPad Pro buyers with their photoshop tease that never arrived and isn’t exactly full photoshop anyways. Yep it was adobe too but Apple used it to sell iPads.

I was just reading over on Reddit that it works best if you have it set for 4k 30FPS. Not sure if you knew that already.
Don't have mine yet so can't confirm the difference
Just been to my local Apple Store in Abu Dhabi and made a comparison with the 4 available colors for the 11 PRO:
Silver
Midnight green
Gold
Space grey
I must admit that the greenish one is not my preferred and same is for the gold one.
I eventually came to the conclusion that it’s worth for me to take advantage of the great improvement in the PRO’s camera (I’m a pretty active iphoneographer) and step up from my current 7Plus (great camera BTW).
Planning to buy my 11 PRO MAX 256GB in a couple of weeks from now and after having seen all the colors my choice goes to Silver: simple, elegant, love the steel color effect on the edges.
I don't think that pic gives it justice. The midnight green is so much better in person. I got gold last year and I hated it.
What has happened to the traditional Live Wallpapers, I haven’t heard anything. 3D Touch is gone and It doesn’t seem like they made a big deal out of them this year. if they’re there do they get activated now using haptic touch?

Totally agree with the glass feeling slippery. And also missing 3D touch
Actually find long press already a bit annoying compared to 3D touch, I found myself keeping my finger on the screen while reading, so involuntarily opened pages/images I didn't want to open...
The UK charging brick is rather nice
I din't know, but mine is set on 4k 30fps already :-/I was just reading over on Reddit that it works best if you have it set for 4k 30FPS. Not sure if you knew that already.
