Apple's ecosystem is good but I'll try switching to Samsung when they release the Samsung S20 Ultra. I just can't not try it.
It’s fine actually and I have small hands. It’s very thin.At 6.9” the thing is way too big and unpractical in every day use.
I have the note 10 plus and 11 pro max. It's funny how the brain works. When I'm using the Samsung I wish I was using the iPhone and vice versa. The only 2 things I like about the note is the notifications at the top and Samsung pay. Other than that, the 11 pro max is a sweet device.
My main use is watching youtube ect, camera, media (music ect),speakers, quality of apps, and a bit of social media, and the display quality
I have the note 10 plus but just cannot decide ether to get the iPhone 11 pro max or the s20 ultra
My only reason not to get the ultra I'd I feel its going to be a very similar experience that I already have with the note and I've been with android now for around 8 years must of had around 30 phones lol
For me, the Ultra is an extreme waste of money. It’s not really that different than my note that also has 12gb of ram, just no fancy 10000x zoom. I don’t have 5g at work or near my home so that feature is a waste of money. Between my 2 devices, I’m content. iMessage isn’t really a big deal for me and I’ve only used FaceTime 1 time ever.
I had a OnePlus 7t pro McLaren and the 90hz refresh was cool, but goodbye battery. It's up to you, but I'd stay with the note. Then there is the whole refresh rate that people crave about I havent had chance to use one yet and I hope ios gets sorted with the whole codec problem with youtube not displaying 1440p
I don't find myself using at least 80 percent of my notes features so I suppose a simpler less buggy dare I say ios

Mostly scrolling and games. I ended up turning it off. 60hz is fine for me.Ya I might end up doing I'm on the upgrade program with samsung so will get a free upgrade when the note 20 drops or whatever they call it lol
Just to ask does the refresh rate have any impact on videos or is it just scrolling and games?
Thanks
Not really, it's still lighter then the 11 pro Max and even the Note 10 is a 2 hand phone so going a little bigger isn't a big deal.At 6.9” the thing is way too big and unpractical in every day use.
That is true, however the truth is Android and iOS are so close these days that hardware can be the deciding factor. Android is no longer the laggy mess it use to be and in some ways has overtaken iOS.Some people make this really difficult, you’re _not_ choosing the hardware anymore, you’re choosing a platform, rather be android or iOS. Samsung always puts out some of the latest features over Apple, but it’s a short term effect if you don’t like the operating platform. As an iOS user for the past 10 years, Samsung has some really nice devices, but I don’t like android for what it has to offer, which is why I’m partial to iOS. So there again, you’re choosing where your loyalty lies with the software, not the hardware.
Samsung technically supports more because of it's magnetic strip technology that works literally anywhere even if there isn't a chip reader.
Why would anyone fall for 100X digital zoom? They should rename it to Potato Zoom and it'd be much more accurate. Having said that ... the S20 Ultra does have 10X Optical Zoom ... and that's mighty impressive for a phone. The S20 Ultra has many cool things going for it, but don't fall for the 100x zoom. It's really just 3.9x zoom, the rest is just digital zoom (cropping). That's like saying the iPhone has 20x zoom because it too has digital zoom. And the vanilla S20's zoom isn't even a zoom, it's basically the same focal length as the main lens and digitally cropped.
i played with the S20 ultra today.. if you’re a media consumer and need to get stuff done then get the samsung, if you just need a phone and fool around on the phone for funsies.. get the iphone.
picture in picture and multi window support, drag and drop files, i always just felt like i could get things done with less steps with the android. don’t get me wrong though, i’m using the 11 pro max right now. i need the imessage support more than functionality at this stage in my life. What qualifies the Samsung as a getting things done device in your opinion? Aren’t there plenty of business apps on iPhone?

I have both platforms. I have a 11 Pro Max and a Pixel 4 XL and pre-ordered the S20 Ultra. Thanks for elaborating on this, appreciate the response. Personally I’m not sure if this picture in picture would help me much, but these features may be relevant to someone else.
My work stuff is all Apple centric so for me switching makes no sense but it’s nice to get an impression what’s possible elsewhere

I think transfering files is easier on Android phones. I can just connect and drag and drop any files I want from my iMac or MBP to the Pixel. My Mcs see the Pixel as a hard drive. I wish I could do that with my 11 pro max. But it does have other ways to transfer file though.
