I’ve had similar battery issues with my iPhone 11 pro as well the stupid battery drain was just stupid. Wiped out phone, started with no restore, even a blank phone without Apple ID or App Store account and lte turned off still results in battery drain. Ridiculous battery performance so it went back to Apple store as defect.

Didn’t have this problem the first few days, only 3 percent drain overnight. But recently it has started happening (2 days ago overnight 8 percent drain with no apps doing anything according to battery stats and sot stats, rebooted and next night it was back to 3-4. Now I just wake up and it’s drained 15 percent.

Since it can be fixed with a reboot and it didnt have any problems earlier I really don’t feel the need to exchange, no guarantuee you win’t have this problem again or new problems. But it’s puzzling, what is going on.

That is very good of you to say so. Many thanks.
Sorry, you didn‘t waste my time on me, and I also thank you of course. I overlooked your recent post somehow.

To give an update, today the drain seems to have stopped. I took it off the charger at 8:30am and now, at 12:20, it‘s still at 100%, being only on wifi with no sim inside though (I put it back into my X to just witness any potential drain without using it.).

Will leave it like this all day. I think it shouldn’t go down more than 5% maximum, as that was what I witnessed on my X the last few days.
If it stays strong all day today, tomorrow I‘ll use it normally and report back. I‘m gonna wait a few more days before I potentially would bring it back to the store.

What are your thoughts, if the drain has stopped for now, it probably has figured out whatever it was doing in the Background I guess.
Yesterday, while I was using it normally, I got an overall screen on time of about 6,5 hours before the battery dropped to 18%. Is that normal? I was just using WhatsApp/iMessage,Safari, Mail and the Camera app primarily. Not TOO much of camera use. No games.

Will reply more later to this thread but remember that iphones stay at 100 pct longer than on any other percentage. It’s the equivalent of about 5-10 percent.

when I am fully charged I sometimes have sot of 1 hour and 20 minute or thereabouts before it goes down to 99 pct.

I would just get the phone replaced as the Apple Store person suggested. It's an expensive brand-new iPhone and you should not have to deal with troubleshooting all-day long. Not when you consider the price of the phone and the age of the phone. I would also recommend that you perform a full restore first, and if that's not helping, get a replacement.

You are within the 14-day return period, so it shouldn't be a problem even if Apple decides not to give you a replacement under warranty.

Just curious how many photos and videos do you have restoring to the phone and do you have it set to download originals to your phone? If so, go to the photos app, scroll to the bottom and see if it says downloading photos still.

Try a hard reset whilst your phone is on charge.

My 11pro stays at 100% overnight
Thx, Like I said, it seems to have gotten better today.

I have a put 22000 photos on iCloud, but they have long been downloaded. I am set to optimize storage. The only thing that’s still going on when vom connected to power is the library curation.

It seems like my battery has stabilized!
No more strange behavior and it’s actually REALLY strong now. Like today it was at 60% at 9:30 pm! Great!
