Same size as iPhone 7. Every time I use one I remember how comfortable that size was so I'm guessing it will be great as a full screen device.

I got the 12 on Monday. I immediately felt that it was slightly wider and taller than my X (which I have to adjust in my hand to use it fully). I just thought to myself “yeah, I can’t be bothered with this now. There’s a mini, just get that instead”. I did try it a few times, but I never actually set up my 12. I’ve emailed the case manufacturer to swap my order for a 12 mini one & I’m going to the Apple store tomorrow to return it.

I am nervous about the battery life on the mini though. My X is on 89% battery health after a year with a new battery & I doubt it’ll be that much better than my X was with a new battery.

I came from an XS (the smaller one) and the 12 Mini’s battery life is pretty similar. Unless you are a power user you should be fine.

I honestly couldn‘t be happier with the Mini. I’m at 49% after taking the phone off charge at about 0915 with 3h 13m screen on time and 1h 7m screen off time. The one handed usage is something I’ve been missing for a while and using the 12 Pro for a few weeks cemented that for me. It has now been retired to the closet, only coming out when I need photos of the Mini like these.
