For those of you so far who’ve picked up a Max - are you keeping it? And if not why not? Personally, wasn’t sure at first but there is something very attractive about this “slate” like phone. And the display is amazing (if you don’t have the yellow issue). Nonetheless, there’s a 12 for everyone out there!

So your guys’ displays don’t look like this? That’s my old 8 plus on the right.

It felt a little awkward to hold at first, but after using it a few days I've gotten used to it and really enjoying it. Loving the screen size increase compared to my 11 Pro Max. Camera improvements in low light use cases are definitely noticeable. Battery appears to be a bit better than the 11 Pro Max. I'll be keeping mine and using it alongside my Z Fold 2.

I'm probably going to return mine. I just don't find it a necessary upgrade to the 11 Pro Max. Yes I knew that going in, but I always upgrade. I think I'll wait until next year and hopefully they integrate touch ID back into their devices.

First day I thought it’s very heavy and the edges are too sharp but I got used to the weight by now and a thin clear case solved the edges problem. Definitely a keeper.
The battery life is great compared to my XS Max. Double the space is also more than welcome. The first thing I turned off was 5G though and apparently it doesn’t work in Dual Sim mode anyway

Received mine today was scared to even to open the box after reading macrumors.
Screen is perfect uniform white with True Tone ON even better than my iPhone 11 Pro.
Everything checked out no pixel issues, dust under screen, camera, build quality perfect...definitely a keeper miss this screen size doesn’t even feel big at all...

I received mine on launch day Friday set it up on Sunday I really like it and will be keeping it, I find it faster, the screen is really nice, phone clarity seems better, still testing the battery life but so far it's good.

I upgraded from the 11 Max Pro to the 12 Max Pro Silver.

This why I stopped buying every year regardless of features or upgrades . Its just not an enjoyable experience over here. I will go ballistic if there are any problems with my PB 12 Pro Max ordered within minutes of prebook start . 10 days out and still processing . Still not a genuine Apple Store in Ireland and not one of the 'agents' have any stock .

Not so much a launch as a rumour ;)

Definitely a keeper. Blown away by battery life, and I was coming from an 11 Max. I know, shouldn’t be so, yet so far, the optimization seems to really reward the way I use it. So much less slippery and the screen is killer! Love it!

My old 8 Plus definitely displayed brighter whites. That and Face ID are my only complaints with the 12 PM.

Am I keeping it? Yes. The speaker is incredible. Much better battery life compared to my 8 Plus. I do however want a wider iPhone and I don't think we will get that until the folding iPhone potentially in 2022.

Came from a 7+ not that I'm a crazy holdout for anything in particular, I just didn't like the X/11 style or I guess the feel of holding it. I got the 12 Pro Max silver/white.

So far I like the way holding it feels, especially hitting that lock button. Somehow that tiny extension moves it down to a much more natural spot. I don't have to shift my hand at all to hit it, and I like that. Plus the squared sides, makes it feel more secure in the hand as you operate it, to me at least. Even swiping up from the bottom feels better with these edges.

The screen is better than the X/XS/XS Max but I didn't spend much time checking out the 11. On the X's I could see the flicker when scrolling text, but this display almost seems like a 120hz when scrolling. It's much more clear. Colors look amazing too, but it would be nice if it could be a little brighter in full sun. I don't know what to say to people who think the screen is yellow. Maybe, but most of the time screens are calibrated too blue for my taste. You can't see warm red on a 9300 screen. But consumers constantly pick blue calibration screens...

Overall this is the iPhone I was waiting for lol it feels great to use.

edit to add: the poster above me mentioned the speaker, I forgot to mention that the speaker is way better. The sound is louder, clearer, and fuller than my friend's XS Max.
