Other iPhone 12 pro max pre approval frustrating

OP means when the pre-approval proccess for IUP will begin for the 12 Pro Max, which obviously isn't 11/6. I would say check on Monday of that week.
OP, you are stressing out way too much over this. pre-approval is just pre-approval, it doesn't magically put you in line. That will come on the 6th tho.
Have to disagree. When you go through the get ready steps and get your preapproval, if your’e in the IUP (iPhone upgrade program), on preorder day you breeze through. Last year it took me about 2 minutes to place my order using the Apple Store app. If you don’t go through the preapproval you often deal with the frustration of them trying to contact your carrier, trying to contact Citizens One (again if you’re in the IUP), having to start all over because there are too many people trying to do the same thing. I called Apple to try to find out but those first level reps need a lot more training. They had no idea what I was talking about. So after today’s frenzy, I’ll be watching my emails as Apple will likely announce it, and will keep an eye on the Apple Store app. You could get ready for today’s preorders 4 days before. I’m guessing you can ready for the Pro Max in the first few days of November, maybe before.
I honestly don't think anyone who orders on the 6th will have any trouble getting the device that next week. As of right now its 5:38PST and the delivery time is still one week out for both models. Maybe more people will want the Pro Max but it looks like for the most part orders are going smoothly with plenty of stock.
It is a breeze but not worth the hassle of being frustrated.

but I did my preapprovals last night like 9PM and successfully ordered this morning with no issues.

People did pre approval for the iPhone 12 and pro on Tuesday last time. I mean that’s 3 to 4 days. So I guess that true
The pandemic and the current environment ducked with the release. No one needs a 5G phone this year. We are getting closer to the craze and demand not being as high.
Anyone hear anything new on this? One apple rep said last Monday. Another told me it's not happening.
I'd say check back tomorrow, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They will do the pre-approval. It just matter of when. IF they did this after the event, it will likely be Tuesday.

Not sure how widestead it is, but based on my 90+ minute wait I am guessing it’s pretty widespread.
I tried to log into my ATT app this am but couldn’t. Kept on getting information about Liberty Communication. Finally was able to log in on my computer to see my account was moved to Liberty Communications. WTF, got no information about this and didn’t authorize.
After a little research, I found out ATT sold its wireless business in Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands to Liberty. My account is in the US so it shouldn’t impact me...well ATT made a mistake a sent a bunch of US accounts.
The issue is pretty simple. If not fixed/moved back to AtT by friday, you won’t be able to upgrade to mini or pro Max. Basically your account is not with att at this point..

Thanks! I just checked my ATT account, and I’m good. Sheesh, that is not a good position to be in. I’ve been with ATT for years and don’t remember anything this bad. I hope that you got everything back on track?
I’m assuming that you have a Puerto Rico area code... 787 or 939. You need to call AT&T or go to the AT&T app and change your address, not your billing address, your “place of primary use address” I did that when I moved to the USA and didn’t get affected by the sale.

Nope. I live un US and never had a PR area code. They moved many accounts that shouldn’t have.
