2+ hours. Att is useless. No idea when it will be corrected... no idea how it happened. Reps are clueless and provide nothing but incorrect information
Wow! Try using this number 1(800) 331-0500. That is Liberty Mobile. They also have a website:https://mobile.libertypr.com/
See if you can log in to that web site using your AT&T account.

I don’t understand how this happened to you.

good luck!

Can you all guide me more on what pre-approval is? I know what a pre-order is, but I don't understand what you say pre-approval. I have a iPhone 12 Pro on AT&T I bought on launch day, but I am not happy and want to exchange it for the 12 Pro Max. I have no idea when I'm supposed to return this phone to Apple, get the credit that my line is due again for an upgrade from AT&T since I returned this phone, be able to order the 12 Pro Max and get the $700 credits on that phone. This would be a lot easier if I was happy with the phone I got, but I'm just not. Do I need a pre-approval somewhere in there? Thanks so much!

Pre-approval is for the Apple Upgrade Program (AUP) so you're a little more ready for the pre-order on Friday.

So, I went to get preapproved but for my IUP upgrade and when it asks me to put in my social security number it tells me match not found. Did anyone else have this issue? If not who do I need to contact? Citizens One or Apple?

Never mind, I called Apple and they had no idea what to do so they had me just apply for a new loan. Not sure if that's the right move but oh well

I got my pre-approval email today (11/2) for the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I completed the process on my iPhone and I'm all set. Verizon is my carrier and I'm on the new every year program through Apple

So I am on a payment plan with Verizon for my 11 pro Max. I am considering doing the IUP program. So if I go through Apple and the IUP can I just turn in my 11 pro Max to Verizon? Or pay it off and sell it. Not sure how this works or what to do

Very frustrated. Got the email and the app notice. When I get to the carrier confirmation screen, it reports that I have a pending order or reservation (I don't). Spent a huge amount of time with Apple reps last night - they had no idea what the process was or what I was talking about, in spite of my reading them the email several times.

I expect that if I can't get that reset, I won't be able to do the IUP on Friday morning, either. I'm going to try Apple again today.

IUP is completely separate from Verizon. So it's like having another loan/upgrade program, but only starting with your 12. You would either have to pay off the Verizon phone and then sell it, or keep making the Verizon payments on the 11 until you own it outright to sell.

This is why I've only done the IUP program so far. I can either own the phone outright after 2 years (I did this with my XS Max) or change phones every year (I did this for 8 Plus --> X --> XS Max).

Thx. I’ll try that.

last magic words from att....”error should be corrected in 24-48 hours”
That seems to be their go to answer to get you off of the phone. They told me on an issue I had that it would be fixed in 24-48 hours, and 24-48 DAYS later it was still not fixed. But on the bright side I ended up getting $350 dollars refunded on my AW5.

You should call your carrier and see if they are showing anything in the system for an upgrade. I had that issue last three years ago verizon was trying to do my dirty. Typical verizon, that is why i only get my phone from apple now.

Worked itself out in time - not sure why. It went from a "not supported" message to a different error message that I don't remember - only saw it once. I have no idea whether this actually solved the problem, but I put an old sim in the phone and rebooted. VZW wouldn't recognize that sim at all (probably had been taken out of their system), so I put the new sim back in and rebooted and all was well. Got my pre-order in just fine. But hours of time spent with both Apple and VZW didn't turn up any solutions.
