My experience is quite strange but I found similar experiences on Reddit...the screen of my 13 Pro Max is quite perfect in every normal condition except with very low temperatures: if I leave my phone outside for 5/10 minutes without using it, the screen becomes quite green (of course with low brightness and grey background) but If I keep it inside my home and start to use normally, the screen return completely normal and the green tint disappear. Any other feedbacks about this strange topic?

I have the exact same issue, even went to the apple store. You can check my whole summarized issue here on reddit :

It happens only in low temperatures. Except that everything is perfect.

At this point, I think that this is a characteristic of the screen and not a defect (of course, only if the green tint is present only in low temperature conditions).

Not implying that you are making this up, but I am curious if there is a legit source that explains how the thermal management mechanics works?
that was my source
https://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/comments/m4d6jq/iphone_12_green_tint_problem_is_indeed_a_thermal/

I tested for myself and found the same results
My theory is that green pixels aredouble blue and red so with lower temperatures they work more to save blue and red from voltage fluctuations at low temperature

So if it like this than some software update should get rid of it.
I advise you not to count on that
That issue was there since the 12 series and did not get fixed
I does not bother me cause it is not that cold where I live
for this issue to be fixed I think a firmware to the display should be installed which can't be done with normal software updates

well for some people the SW update did help, but not for all of them. But then again, if the cold temperatures are the issue, then I would expect to face some Samsung users the same issue as the iPhone users are, considering it is the same display manufacturer, isn't it?

I noticed the same thing while I was out walking today, it was around 3 degrees Celsius, and I noticed the problem happens at very low brightness only, as soon as I turn up the brightness, the problem disappears lol. I asked Apple Support and they had a few cases but they say it is normal, so idk. Side note: It actually looks much worse on camera than in real life, but it is definitely noticeable if you look for it.

Our diagnostics didn’t show any issues. 😂 🤣🤣

Apparently it’s quite prevalent

I’m getting my 13 Pro replaced. Hopefully the new one’s better.
The old one not only turns green in cold temps but reddish if the temps are warmer. I noticed it while using the vent mount. Should’ve stuck to my 11 Pro for another year.

I'm sure every iPhone 13 suffers from this cold/warm crap looking screen. Don't waste your time. I've tested my phone against many, and they all have it. I can only hope that iPhone 14 doesn't suffer from it

That’s why I said better not fault-free. For some the green hue is apparently tolerable and mine isn’t. Hopefully this one’s more uniform and less green.

This green crap has been a problem with Samsung OLED'S since they were made. Starting all the way back on my Huawei P20. They have never solved it. I'm just hoping they would move to a different screen technology

I have this same issue. When temperature is normal my screen is perfect, but if temperature is below 10 degrees my screen have green screen in settings for example if brightness is low. Maybe someone has changed phone and it's repair this problem?

As I am having this problem on an iPhone that I unboxed myself brand new, I doubt that is the case ! My thinking is that this is normal behavior of the screens and that very few people notice it/pay attention to it enough.

My girlfriend have 12 pro max and she doesn't have this problem, when temerature is low the screen is perfect.
Maybe this problem is only on 13 pro/13 pro max. Is your first 13 pro max or you changed your phone? Do you compared with other 13 pro max/13 pro?
