Yes, just because I try to every two years. Still get a great trade in and after two years my battery doesn't last a full day.

Same. I already ordered my apple cases. I got the ultramarine and stone grey colors.

Absolutely. Sure there won’t be many new features but the 14 Pro Max is a flawed product with a defective battery problem. I cannot wait to get rid of it. Battery health is plummeting since launch day and it on 82% health for me after normal use. Apple continue to gaslight but I think there needs to be a recall.
People charge their phones too frequently, for too long and often with 3rd party chargers. There’s nothing flawed about it.

98% on my 14PM

I also try to upgrade every 2 years. I probably could push it another year but the trade in value will probably be $450 or even $400 next year. The battery life is also middling on my 14 PM.

I have an Anker fast charger; I thought that was a solid 3rd party product no?

I decided to just use my 14 PM for another year. I did not see any major upgrades, especially since Apple Intelligence will not be available in the EU anytime soon.

Honestly, given the battery life improvement and the $1,000 AT&T will give me, it is hard to justify not moving from my Gold iPhone 14 PM to the Desert iPhone 16 PM. I am a tad worried about the slightly taller phone, but it is lighter, so that should make up for it. The 16 PM should be a good phone for three or four years - not seeing a ton in future rumors that make me want to wait.

Yep, I'm in. Battery health at 88% on the 14PM. I'll take a bit more screen size, fresh battery, and the AI features.

The future is the under screen front camera/Face ID and possible return of touch ID. There will also be continued camera improvements every year.

I looked at the Verizon trade in deal and its worse than buying the phone outright. Its cheaper for me to trade it into Apple and get the unlocked version. I've done that every time I've upgraded and its worked out great.

Pro 14 Max person here thinking of trading in for a Pro 16 (non-Max) 512

Even though the ‘small’ phone is larger than previous models it is smaller than the Max and I’ve taken an interest in a smaller phone again.

Ive made the decision to upgrade based on alot of things

1st as much as i love lighting, my whole family has phones with USB-C and when they use my car they keep changing out my cord for the usb c cord so im making the decision to move to the 16

2nd, I am still in the boat since i got my first phone at a 2 year upgrade cycle, so this makes 2 years

3rd, i have recently gotten into playing some games on my phone and i feel like the 14PM is slowly slowing down performance and battery wise because of that, the new features and additions to the 16PM processor and battery i feel will help this case

Right now the only reason I’d consider upgrading is for the higher trade in value vs waiting another year.

I forgot, second reason would be to get USB-C. I want to get a FLIR attachment and I may as well get the USB-C version.

Im holding off for now until some more reviews come out for the camera, see if it'd a nice enough improvement over the 14 pro max. Plus how good is the battery in real world usage etc. Im tempted but not enough to jump on a pre order. Plus my carrier last Black Friday and boxing day had some pretty sweet deals on the 15's, so may wait for that.

Yes. Primary reasons are battery capacity on our 14 Pro Max's are now at 89% and it shows. Second reason is the camera control button. Third is the USB C port, even though we mostly use wireless charging. Lastly is the fact new apps use and need more processing power... and most developers keep updating apps to tap into the CPU/GPU power.

Not pre-ordering this time around. I will wait to test it in person and see what reviews bring about comparing both the 14 PM to the 16 PM. From what I have seen it doesn't seem worth it. My 14 PM still looks brand new, battery health at 91%, and works just fine.

Also, the last few weeks on here had rumors about how the 17 series appear to bring more significant changes (whatever that means).

For me, the main reason would be to use Apple Intelligence features. I think the rest of the features are not standing out that much compared to 14 PM.

However, as Apple Intelligence won't be available in Europe for some time, I just do not see a good reason to upgrade from my 14PM.

Upgrading from my iPhone 13 but haven't decided if I should pick the Pro or Pro Max. If both phones would have the same battery life, I would have chosen the Pro but the battery life of the Pro Max seems to be really amazing. I'm unsure about the size, it seems to be huge.

Other than that, the reasons why I will upgrade are the better cameras, USB-C and the SOS feature.

The main reason for me would be Apple Intelligence and looks like it's not going to be in Europe anytime soon... My battery is now 78% of the 14Pro... so it's another reason.

Apple Intelligence will be available in October as beta in US-English, for all iPhone 16 phones.

UK English and other languages in December; so, it'll be available.

I'm hesitant, from 14PM to 16PM; I think the Camera button is quite cool, jumping from 1x, 2x, 3x, to 1, 1.2, 1.8 and 5x is interesting; but the most relevant factor is AI. My hesitation is that is a £750 jump, with trade-in; every year the iPhone devaluates more and more...
