I think that second part is what will happen:
or that they’ll simply be quickly putting up new marketing materials.

The thing is, Apple Stores never put up marketing materials for products that aren't available. There's no point when customers point at the big iPhone 15 banner and reps have to say, "we ain't got that."

Makes you wonder why the stores are redecorating the same day. I doubt it's to promote USB-C AirPods.

If this is true this would be like the first time Apple announced an iPhone and it would be available for purchase in an Apple store the next day. It would be wild if Apple did something that radical. But I could see them releasing new AirPods or maybe a new Apple Watch the next day after the event.

Call me cynical, but won’t 15 Pros basically be indistinguishable from 14 Pros apart from USB-C and slightly slimmer bezels on the former?

As these photos aren’t showing the display or ports here, they could easily just be photoshopped or 14 Pros painted in the rumored finishes. Or just dummies?

I don’t see any smoking gun evidence telling me that these are functional devices.

Like, what’s keeping the leaker from turning the units around, turning them on, showing the ports?

Not legit pics. The phones per rumors, are going to have more rounded edges along the back and front glass. Someone just photoshopped both a silver and purple phone. They also rumored titanium is a brushed finished, not shiny. Both these phones are shiny stainless steel. You can see that and the reflection the shiny makes.

Nice try though :)

Good observation.

Can you imagine, if all this new design leaks, about rounded edges and brushed finish, belong to iPhone 16 instead? Because Apple is already well into the design of the 16 lineup.

We’ll see in four days, wether this is a fake leak, or the 15 Pro is just an iterative design of the 14 Pro with an A17 Bionic and USB-C.

Yes, because we know exactly how they will look, right? I do think it is fake, but making these claims when we only have rumors is quite out there.

Yeah we do

Leaks have already told us we are getting super thin bezels

Leaks also told us that the Apple Watch Series 7 would have flat edges and an entirely different design, and if we go further back, we also heard that the iPhone 5 would launch in 2011, with a tear-drop like design and bigger screen. Instead we got the iPhone 4S.......

EDIT: added a link to the iPhone 5 "confirmed" rumors that everyone was expecting:

Exactly. It's fun the speculate, but posting "leaks" as facts is pure click-bate and happens every year.

According to Jobs in 1998, the "i" word in "iMac" (and thereafter "iPod", "iPhone" and "iPad") stands for internet, individual, instruct, inform, and inspire.

Here's my new "iPhone".

To be honest, the design language of the Pixels now is better than the iPhone. The horizontal metal bar and pill shaped camera layout looks far more Apple-esque.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is not an iPhone. ;)

looks like major dent city on the use of titanium. not happy with that.

they keep getting easier to damage

and more expensive at the same time.

The Tim Cook and Apple Way.

The Future is Samsung and android for me.
