So I just noticed my battery health dropped to 99% today after it had been holding steady at 100% (nooooooooooo) So I was curious to see what you guys had as cycle counts and health

***For the "stop obsessing about battery crowd"... Yes i know relax yourselves this is just for pure curiousity and entertainment... I am not actually upset about my battery hitting 99% so please calm down***

I decided not to use magsafe and have been charging wired on a low watt charger... since I charge overnight and don't really need fast charging. I guess that experiment bought me an extra 45 cycles lol.

My 15 Pro is at 171 cycles, 100% capacity. I have charging set to Optimized.

I do the same. I have a crappy old USB-A charger by the bed, which probably takes half the night to get back to 100%. I'm doing it this way more because I'm lazy and cheap than as any kind of deliberate strategy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think it is just a coincident. There is a thread here from a User who used 5W Charging for a Year and his spouse was using fast charging. It did not really made a difference.

Also I have a plug which shuts off charging 30min after my iPhone reached 100%

Cycle count 35, charge to 80% enabled.
Battery health 98%.... wtf?

Battery was made and first used in November 2023

Cycle Count of 58 as of this morning - reporting 100% health still.

Have toggled it between 80% and Optimised depending on my usage.

Something seems wrong there... Are you using beta software? try doing a reboot and see if that updates it.

No beta software has ever been installed on my device.
Just done a hard re boot and it remains the same. 98% capacity after only 35 cycles.

I hardly ever use my phone as well. Very weird, and very concerning.

87 cycle count yet you got it on release day????

Works out at 1 charge every 2 days, sounds feasible if you don’t use it

I charge it every night using a standard Apple Magsafe Charger on my nightstand.

Usually I just use ~35% on normal days and rarely over 50%, which means that I get up to 3 charges per cycle (or said another way: one cycle every 2-3 days):

BH: 100%
Cycles 83

My current 15 Pro is a ER that I got from AC+ after my original 15 Pro was dropped and subsequently replaced. I’ve had the replacement since December ‘23.

15 Pro Max - Ordered on launch day, and set to 80% limit.
My last 2 phones I charged constantly and obliterated the battery before moving on. I'm hoping to get better results this time. I haven't been charging as much (ie charging pads all over) but I do wireless charge bedside each night. If I never need 100% for something like travel, I'll just turn it on.
