@Ronin73 You can try to right/ctrl click Xcode beta > Show Package Contents > Resources > Packages > install "MobileDevice.pkg." Restart and attempt DFU again. I've tried this -- no luck. Hope your results are different!

Okay. I am back in business. The only way I was able to get my phone out of DFU was to download the ipsw of the latest beta and option click restore and select it. Then I had my phone back.

Maybe found solution. Check:
The cable in that photo is the small thunderbolt cable included with the Caldigit TS3+ dock. I have one here, and I got the same error 1669 attempting to DFU restore 17.1 b2 on a windows machine using a TB4 port. Same with every other USBC/TB3 cable I've tried.

Also 17.03 was released today to fix 15p/pm overheating issues but I can't find the iPSW to download and test.

Here's how my cable reader detects it:

Thanks, must have just posted. Been refreshing all day.

I have a Verizon 15pm for work, and when I added my personal esim (AT&T) it bricked. Can't bypass the carrier lock "SIM Not Supported" screen. Already moved both numbers back to my 14pm but the 15pm is still bricked.

Have been trying any ver fw DFU but all fail 1669. Multiple cables, multiple machines.

Edit: Error 1669 w/ 17.03 DFU

I am testing this iPhone and usually whenever a newer update is available than out of the box, I perform a dfu restore to have the cleanest system possible. With this iPhone I get an error (1669) during the start of recovery phase.
Has it happened to someone else? I would like to point out that I tried with two different m2 Macs, one with Ventura 13.6 and the other with Sonoma rc2, with USB-C USB-C and USB-C USB-A cable without success.
yeah, i'm getting this error too, restore error 1669, 15 pro max, macos 13.4.1

Confirmed working here too with mac OS Sonoma 14.1 developer beta 3 and iOS 17.1 developer beta 3. Think we can officially put this thread to bed... Thx all for the engagement and feedback! 👏

Getting my 15PM soon, I usually do a DFU restore straight out the box, if I'm updating from the preinstalled version to the latest so 17.1 for me will I be okay doing this on 13.6? Or would I be best updating too 14.1 before?
