The touch controls are awkward, but you don’t have to use them. You can pair a PS5 controller to the iPhone 15 or use a USB C gaming controller.

Maybe I am wrong but I see solutions like this only for a small part of gamers. It’s easier to have the iphone as an iphone and at home an already hooked up game console. What if you get a phone call while gaming?

Well your phone could still be indexing. Might have to give it a couple of days. Although I went by an authorized reseller yesterday just to look at the new phones and they were all on display on wireless chargers. 9/10 og them were burning hot when I picked them up!
Thank you. You were right it is significantly better now in just a couple of days. 🙂

Are you fast charging, using a very insulated phone case or charging in a hot room?
It's in the same case as my iPhone 14 Pro a UAG Metropolis Kevlar MagSafe Case

It's been on type A to C, C to C, and wireless chargers. It's happening in all scenarios. Been in AC cooled environments.

Maybe it is indexing after your migration from old to new phone?

A USB-C dock that has a HDMI output to a TV would have an active cooling solution.

What in the heck does that have to do with what's going on inside the phone? The dock can keep itself cool, but that has nothing at all to do with the phone. It's not like the dock cooling can be applied to the phone CPU.

Just want to say I have a iPhone 15 pro max and have no overheating issues whatsoever just gets warm like my 13 mini did . I did set the phone up as new i don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

I know its personal preference, but I still just dont get who wants to play high performance games on a tiny iphone screen.
With the 15 Pro Max, I'll be able to plug it right into my Steam Deck Dock and play straight on my TV like I already do with my Switch, Steam Deck, PS5, etc.

my experience has been the same as yours. Even during the first 24 hours when it was "indexing" I didn't feel the phone get hot at all.

Honestly as long as it does not overheat under normal use and when You take pictures, I do not care. I was never into mobile gaming and anyone knows if You have a high performance SoC with a fanless design, then it will hit the thermal limit and then dial back the performance - just compare the performance between the same M1/M2 powered MB Air and MB Pro.

The same website that provided the information for this "article" also proclaimed the MBA M2 as an overheating, highly throttled device.

Now that the M2 Air has been in real world use for over a year, the reality is obvious- it's not an issue.

But yes, the 15 Pro did get pretty warm during initial setup, and if someone had one on a fast charger I can see where it would certainly be overly warm.

Mine hasn't come close to being noticeably warm at any time since it finished indexing.

Because I’m on a flight, I don’t want to use my laptop, and the B next to me won’t plug in my desktop to the 120volt outlet and the lame stewardess won’t hold my 40” monitor
