Quick reviews for 2 Spigen cases for my Titanium Black Pro 16. Can provide photos upon request.
I have mostly used Caudabe Sheaths on my last few iPhone Pros with Spigen Ultra Hybrid & other similar clear cases (ESR) mixed in. I tend to drop phones so protection, grip, & a decent lip are all important to me.
Ultra Hybrid T (Black Frost)
Just received this yesterday, was expecting it to be less grippy based on other comments here. While I don't think it's super grippy, it is good enough for me without thinking twice. I was concerned I would not like the glossy look of the edges but, it looks a little more matte in person than in pictures. It contrasts nicely with the black phone behind the frosted black back. CC button was not a big deal for me as it many of you but, it works well nonetheless. Lip on from extends a decent amount past the ESR screen protector I have on phone. Not too bulky or heavy.
Good fit all around at a good price. That is what exactly what you expect from Spigen
Side note: I found this to be of better quality and appearance than a cheaper ESR clear w black trim case I bought and returned
Tough Armor AI (Black Frost)
Bought this first and have been using it since launch day. Had no prior experience with this model but liked how it looked on Amazon and the price was good and sounded protective.
I like the translucent design of this particular color way, you can see the yellow protective foam on the inside of the back but unless you are in very bright day light, it doesn't appear very yellow-ish. In most light, it somehow reads more towards grey. Especially with the black phone in place. The magnet is visible without being pronounced. The translucent nature of it all strikes the right balance of being different while not being too bold or brash.
The case is protective and the rubbery edges feel grippy enough to my liking. It is a different feeling grip vs Sheath but I like it. Case is a little on the heavier side but then again, so is a Sheath. This case is probably slightly busier than Sheath. Phone buttons are covered with large rectangular buttons and I had no issue with them. CC button is a large area that slopes down towards the button itself. I find it easy to use. After reading many of your comments here, the large area will undoubtedly be a deal breaker for some of you.
But for the rest, if you are looking for quality and protection in a a unique but not bold package, this is a good choice. Again, Spigen quality and price deliver a good deal.
