Let us know how those drop test turn out?
There’d better not be any impromptu drop tests around here! 😬😅

Are the inside edges of those cases sharp?
No, they’re smooth. But there is no padding at all, just one hard material against another.

I’m already back in the fat Nomad rugged
They told me they’re working on a button, but wouldn’t say which cases. Hoping the Rugged is on the list.

I'm sure after the holidays we are going to see plenty of case companies coming to market with the CC button.

How do you make your app icons like that? Do you download an app or something?

They are just the stock iOS icons with a few added using Shortcut app

Hey, nice seeing you around. do you have the new Nomad sport? what do you think of it? got the stone one and I think it's more slippery than last year's..

I returned the sport case as it was definitely more slippery than last years version. I exchanged it for the all leather case they offer.

Woudl you pls link that Widgy? Am struggling to find it

Here you go

Synthesis slipped out of my hand, flew across the room and landed face down on a hardwood floor  luckily no damage at all but man that Synthesis is mighty slippery

If you want outright grip then get the Air2. Side grip is insane.

I’m interested in seeing what PR does, but with their track record, that case isn’t coming out until the iPhone 17
They initially said “before the end of the year”, then proceeded to scrub the internet of any reference to the possibility. I’m now unsure if it will ever happen for the IP16.

Maybe we should shoot them an email and see what they say?

These companies must be salivating over the prospect of selling us two copies of each case.

And for this reason I’m springing for one case this time (PR G6, as they fixed the only reason I avoided gen 5 - cable cutout). Ghost 2.0 are starting to ship, but only the pixel models have surfaced AFAIK. The only other case that has seemed interesting is the arc pulse, although not really a case.

Rebel Gen 6 replacement - went from raised fiber to a nice white dot on the edge that doesn't come off :(

Can't win for losing with this case.

I wonder if they would sell these as scratch and dent models for a discount. I’m sure plenty of people would be fine with it for a price cut, but maybe the juice is not worth the squeeze for PR (maybe they get credit for a production line defect?).

I sent one a while back and got a non-helpful boiler plate response. I could try again. I currently have a note in to Pitaka about their Pro case on the same subject. I think they’re all hesitant to divulge too much information for fear of torpedoing sales of their cutout versions.

So what’s the consensus on the Spigen Hybrid T? Just ordered one from Amazon for $19.99. Figured at that price might as well try it.
It’s the case I’m currently using and the only case I own. I’m totally happy with it. It has good grip and isn’t slippery. It has a decent lip. The CC control button works just as well as the ones on the official Apple cases and Beats cases. As long as you’re okay with using a clear case I would recommend it.

Awesome thank you. I want to swap it out on occasion with my Ryan London open bottom. I got the black version of the Spigen, so looking forward to the darker color. Should get mine on Wednesday.

I’ve been in the frost version of it for almost a month and a half. For the cost, the case is pretty solid. My only difference in assessment from you is I find it a little slippery

I previously reported that my Nomad Modern Leather case was nice, although I didn’t like the area around the CC button. After only about 2 weeks of it being on my 16 Pro, I now think the case is a piece of crap. I keep my phone in my front pocket and I am very protective of it. Despite my being very careful, there are all kinds of scratches on the case. The leather must be as thin as a sheet of one ply toilet paper. I had an Apple leather case on my 14 Pro for 26 months and there were no scratches on the case when I traded in the 14 Pro for the 16 Pro.

I thought I was buying a quality case from Nomad. I couldn’t be more wrong.
