Benks Montage ArmorPro with cc button arrived.

I love the aramid pattern and the button is ok, will need to test out and about with cold hands for a final judgement on that.
Feels plenty grippy and feels so much better in the hand than the cutout.

A few minuses. The first is what we already know, floating buttons would have been better.
The camera ring is black plastic compared to the aluminium I'm used to on the 600D.
I have a small imperfection, looks like a small fingerprint under the camera ring. Can only see it in certain angles and probs me being too fussy. Tried to rub it off and clean it with various products, even tried white spirits, but it's not shifting.

Not the end of the world but I know it's there. My wife will just laugh at me for pointing it out. 😄

Overall happy with it but think I'd prefer the 600D ArmorPro but not sure I'll get one and run their QC lottery until it's available on and shipped by Amazon for easy returns. Not a great buying experience really with that and the shipping from China delivery time.

Is this gap similar to what the old otterbox cactus had ? I can’t see the gap in the photo and some of the videos I seen don’t show one ..I hope I’m not disappointed when mine comes .

I never owned the Otterbox cactus cases, so I can't speak to that. I will say its noticeable, but does effect the use of the case. If the visual doesn't bother you, you should be good. You also may not have the issue.

Not sure I'd be happy with that gap if we know there are ones out there that haven't got it.
It seems if you have a 16 PM, it's more likely you won't have the issue.

Apparently Jun at RL says this was designed on purpose this way. I don't really think the gap was, but I think the bigger port size was. Seems the PM must have more room without creating a gap. I have been chatting with Jun, and has said twice that there is not a fit issue even after seeing the pictures. Take that how you will. They have amazing customer service, so I am exploring what else they can offer me. For me that's a deal breaker for a case. I own both the black and saddle brown open bottom cases from them and have no issues at all with those cases. I think they choose the wrong option by making the port bigger.

Edit: An update, Jun did make it right for me. So I will still wholeheartedly stand with RYAN London. If you have any issues, they will look out for you.

Really appreciate you reporting back on all of this. I am so ready to order one for my Pro but that gap would drive me nuts, I think. And it sounds like it isn't even a lottery if it's as designed. Guess I'll hold off for more reports from Pro users.

In the meantime, sending back this PR6 that I ordered (I had actually tried to cancel it before it shipped, to no avail because I had a feeling...). And that feeling was confirmed upon arrival - the CC hole is not usable for me. And I may be in the minority here, but I actually find the case sides to be slippery. Do really like everything else about it though.

Absolutely! And yes to an extent I think it was designed, but I think the bigger whole was designed not the gap. Maybe there are some Pro cases that don't suffer from it, but like you said I wouldn't want to play the lottery with this. These are not easy returns like Amazon cases.

Still waiting on my Ghost 2.0. I bought it from someone in the UK. I told him to use UPS, he got lazy and shipped with Royal Mail. So it ended up with PostNL. I paid 20 bucks on customs and taxes. Guess what? The case is stuck with PostNL and will be delivered ‘within 7 days’.

This is exactly why I told him to use UPS. PostNL is a lazy business. I am so upset now.

Who was the seller?

How was it advertised?

if it was advertised as Royal Mail then he’s done nothing wrong.

You have bought it based on what he has advertised, irrespective of your request.

It was advertised as UPS. I even got a tracking code for UPS. Then he told me he found the Royal Mail office earlier, so he decided to go there.

Well, I just ordered the saddle brown RYAN London leather case with the camera button for my 16 Pro. This will be case # 6. I hope the expensive search is over. Yes, I have read the posts about the gap, but I think and hope that won’t cause heartburn for me. I used code MTT for a 15% discount.

i totally disagree with you. this is my first and last purchase from Ryan London. very convenient excuse that they intentionally created the gap to “allow for more cables.” that is so much crap. i don’t understand how the gap helps. guaranteed if you order this case in 6 months it won’t have the gap. to all of you with the perfect fitted pro max version, you have received the unintended case. it’s supposed to have a gap in the bottom to allow for better cable fit. you better request an exchange. my thought is this customer service is the worst. a lot of people including me give dbrand a hard time. but they do at least admit errors and make it right. i don’t recommend Ryan London to anyone.

Ah right well in that case, you have a case to be had with eBay there.

I had an instance where a seller did this to me, they sent an item using a different carrier than advertised. It arrived later than eBay stated it should have done and they (eBay) gave me my money back

Wow some strong opinions there. Do what you will. I talked with Jun at RL and I am satisfied with the results. Sorry you have such a negative view of them, but I think it’s unfair to try to spread that to others. This case very well may change in the next few months, but that is the exact reason that I brought my concern to Jun. Hopefully others will do the same if they have the issue and things will change if needed.

I for one have been purchasing their open bottom cases for years with no issues, so yes I am a bit loyal. I can’t say I have stood by a case manufacturer as long as them other than Apple themselves.
