I too have been bouncing back and forth between the Apple Silicone and Caudabe Sheath and the silicone is really winning out for me. Magnet is better, grip is better (for me), thinner, lighter. Both look super good and both fit like a glove. Sheath definitely is more protective but I moved from regular pro to pro max size so i’m trying to keep it as minimal as i can. Will definitely keep both and maybe use the Sheath when i need more protection. Also have a paragon on preorder so excited about that too.

the sheath will be more durable and last long apple silicon tends to wear down over time and look bad

Ryan London case for iPhone 16 Pro. I love it. It get's a 10/10 for me for quality and design.

The cc cut-out works great and allows me to find the button quickly (which I struggled with before using a case).
How does swiping on the camera control feel with that case?

So Cal
I placed an order Thursday evening and got an email with a tracking number a couple hours later. That tracking number still only shows “label created” as of right now.
just a side note, i hate how most companies nowadays send out shipping notices when they only print a label. and then they actually ship a few days later. i’d rather get the tracking number when they really ship the item.

Is there anyone else out there who’s not a huge fan of the caudabe sheath? I usually end up buying one every year as I buy into the hype and reviews. Something about the sand paper texture, weight, and lack of lip (from a grip, not protection stand point) just inspires me to look elsewhere. I definitely appreciate the precise engineering that went into it.

The Bellroy in Sienna arrived today. Ordered 9/24 and here in 2 days. Shipped from a distributor in Eastvale for Bellroy direct (although ordered thru Amazon).

Initial impressions are fantastic. The aroma of leather wafting about. Some pics and a vid below for you. There is not much of a lip on the front side but securely engaged. Probably same height off the screen as my ESR screen protector. The CC hole and thinness for the case help make it flat and smooth to get to the button. Feels more solidly built than Apple Leather cases. The buttons are a nice metallic bronze.

We’ll see how it does on the daily and the patina!

My goodness this is stunning. Have this on my natty titanium. Reminds me of product red in how saturated this color is. Cheers.
Can you add a picture? I was torn between stone grey and the ultramarine and ultimately went with the stone grey. It’s nice but a little on the safe side.

To be honest I don't think its the “minimalistic ” case it used to be. Its pretty heavy now and I think the synthesis feels both lighter and thinner.

I’m not as big a fan as I used to be. Over the years the Sheath has become progressively heavier, and then there are the recent QC issues such as the MagSafe bump, inconsistent buttons, and port misalignment. I still think it has just about the best fingerprint resistance and long term toughness, but the general drop in quality along with the camera control cutout have made it a pass for me this year. Perhaps later on, if it looks as if the QC issues from last year are cleaned up and they add a capacitive camera control cover, I’ll change my tune.

Yesterday, I received a pebbled leather case from Amazon. This one is from Mobee but there are a few others on there that appear identical; the Mobee one had the fastest delivery so that's what I chose. The listing says that it's "top grain leather," and it does smell faintly of leather. The pebbled surface is comfortable to grip - much nicer than the Apple silicone case I've been using, which seems to slide around in my hand ever so slightly, as if it were coated in powder - and it's easy to extract it from a pocket quickly.

The camera control cutout is fine - not ideal, as it's not tapered so the button is a bit recessed, but I'm still able to half- and full press without any significant difficulty. And it's actually a good place to anchor the tip of my ring or middle finger while holding the phone one-handed; accidental presses of the camera control are quite unlikely. The metal buttons are nice an clicky, and while perhaps not as smooth around the edges as the buttons on my old Apple leather case, they're by no means sharp, and I like that both they and the camera surround are also blue.

I have a couple of other leather ones coming tomorrow, but for $25 this is probably a keeper even if I end up keeping one of the other ones as well.

The Dbrand Grip case is fantastic and they finally improved the magnet strength over the 14 version
I seen they are planning to get the Camera Control button covered as well. I will likely get one once it has been. By then the want to constantly show off the Desert Ti will have worn off a bit lol

Returning the apple silicone for the ESR Zero which is only $10 because it's noticeably thinner all around. Then it'll be between the Pitakas when they finally ship.

Yeah, the Sheath has gotten a little heftier. I still remember when it used to be so thin I was sometimes worried if it'd protect my phone enough. But, if anything, it's gotten better each year IMO. I haven't been seeing any drop in quality and I get one every year. Still easily my favorite case and will probably end up being my main case this year. It just checks all the boxes for me. My only complaint the last few years is that the buttons were a little stiff on my 15PM. Nothing terrible, but they could've been better. This year the metal buttons are perfect. They're clicky and look amazing. I honestly cannot find anything wrong with the case this year.

I've got a Paragon on the way, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up sticking with the Sheath. Don't really want anything else.

What's the appeal with Pitaka? I got one because they were so hyped up on here, but the one I got was a fingerprint magnet and I didn't love how sharp the edges felt.
