Can't decide if I should go for the Gray or Black Frosted...
I feel like the Sides of the Gray may get dirty/change colour whilst the Black Frosted will not have this issue..

I have been rocking the gray 24/7 for almost a week. It’s been on the floor at the local gym daily. It still looks great. Not picking up any dirt. I’m pleasantly impressed so far. I went gray because I have the natty 16 PM. I normally don’t do clear cases because I hate seeing fingerprints and smudges. I’m not having issues with fingerprints or smudges with the gray Formula.

Very nice! How do you like it? I really enjoy mine, the more I keep it on my phone the more I appreciate it! This is my first go round with this style of case.
I had a Pitaka a few years ago and one from Aliexpress last year so I knew the form factor. I like this style of case because it adds next to no bulk, which is important on the Pro Max, but it gives the iPhone the much needed grip that it doesn’t have naked. If the iPhone wasn’t so slippery, I’d go caseless.

Nice! What screen protector are you using? I’m not a fan of screen protector but I’m considering getting one as I’m planning on sticking with this case but used to more protection as I was a Caudabe only guy. I was recommended the FLOLAB screen protector by a friend he said it feels like there’s no screen protector on and has smooth edges.

Ahh I see, hopefully the case does not yellow overtime....

End up upgrading, surprisingly, as when I went to an Apple Store to look around they had the natural titanium 16pm 512gb. Currently in a stone silicone and getting a black one. Definitely will need a case with a camera control button. This seems to be a great solution in the current rendition

Do we know if Caudabe are going camera button?
From Caudabe: “We don't currently have any plans to update our iPhone 16 lineup. Like other third-party manufacturers, we don’t get data directly from Apple, but we anticipated the new capacitive touch button early on. Given the uncertainty around how well a cover would work with this feature, we focused on a cutout that balances usability and aesthetics.”

if you have a 16 pro or pro max i would hold off on flo lab until mid october when there new one comes out, the current ones they have don't fit the 16 pro/max screen properly and cuts off a sliver off the side and is just general slightly to small

How would I know when they’ve released new ones?

I have one coming today. I will let you know how I like it.

I have been in the Apple case for the past week. It isn't bad. It has good coverage and a good feel. I prefer a stronger magnet like the ones Supcase and ESR have been using. PhoneRebel has been my daily on all of my phones (once he finally gets them out) for about four years now.

I currently have the Spigen Hybrid T on, and I like the feel! It has a tacky feel and good buttons. The camera control is as good as the Apple one. The only thing I am missing this year on almost every case - is just a slightly better lip around the front (even if only on the corners), and the camera protection this year is the most minimal I have seen across the board. That is great for most. I like the extra security, as I have had to have a lens replaced once, and I like the peace of mind.
The same color scheme as the screenshot I shared? Awesome, looking forward to your photos and hearing how you like it!

I buy the new iPhone every year, and I never once have bought the black one. But I made up my final decision that this is the year I go black. It just looks so damn good in person. Here is a final photo round up of the 6 cases I have on hand right now.

ESR Black Frosted Hybrid
ESR Black Clear Hybrid
ESR Clear Hybrid
Ultramarine Apple Silicone
Black Apple Silicone
Plum Apple Silicone

In person, the plum and black combo is stunning. I believe my main rotation will be the silicone plum, and the ESR Black Frosted.

I hate recommending a screen protector because from reading the threads around here, people want perfectly rounded edges, a black border that doesn’t cover a half a pixel on any side, coverage right up to the titanium frame, and a perfect, easy to install, dummy-proof/lint free installation or else it’s sub-par. I have no problems with my Torras. Installation was easy, bubble-free after sitting over night, and lint free. Others struggled with their installation. I didn’t. The black border is right up to the edge of the screen. Looking straight on it doesn’t impede on the screen. On an angle it will cover the edge of the screen a bit because that’s what happens when something is above something else. This fact drives some members here crazy. They put the camera app on and check to make sure none of the highlighted corners of the “viewfinder” are covered. Here’s a picture of mine.

IMG_4541.jpeg

If you tip it on an angle left and right, the vertical lines will disappear behind the black border of the screen protector and the perfection-seekers lose their minds. The edges aren’t as smooth as they could be, but with the Benks on, it makes it a moot point. If any of these “problems” bother you, then maybe the Torras isn’t what you’re looking for. Anyway, my Torras went on straight lint-free, bubble-free and I couldn’t be happier. Maybe I’m not demanding enough. 🤷‍♂️

Quick question for Sheath owners. So, I have OCD. Legitimately, not figuratively like many claim. I take daily meds and have been through years of therapy. My OCD is mostly just down to my personal devices/electronics these days.

With that said, I've been using the Sheath for years. Many years. I'm also a foolish yearly upgrader (at least I admit it), and I knew the camera control cutout would drive my OCD insane.

I've been using the Apple Silicone case since launch day. I also received my gray Sheath on launch weekend, but I'm so nervous to use it due to my OCD. I just have the EEKKK feeling of all sorts of dust and stuff getting through that cutout.

My question: Those using the Sheath right now, how's the dust and grime factor for the camera control cutout area? Does a quick shot of compressed air and a microfiber cloth clean it out pretty easily? Or is it pretty rough?

It would be no different than the “cutout area” around your entire screen or the cutout where the ringer mute switch used to be. Any place thats open has the potential to have the ingress of dust and dirt. No mystery.

Currently only rocking 2 cases, this clear ESR cheapy I bought for $16 and my Stone Grey Apple Silicone.
The apple silicone seems improved this year in terms of not collecting as much lint or dust, but the problem is still there and it bugs me like no other.
I don't particularly enjoy cases that have a cutout for the CC button, but there aren't super great options out there outside of the Apple Silicone and some others, which is a bummer because it limits your options greatly. I guess it helps my wallet and my goal of not going crazy with case purchases this year, but still, a pretty big bummer when technology genuinely interests you.

I was a huge fan of the Apple Leather case, and really dislike the FineWoven case (like Apple it seems),
For the 15 pro I used mostly the Silicon case but now I think I found the best case for me.

It’s the Nomad Modern Leather Case in Green Chrome Horween, this case has a great fit and the smell of the leather is amazing, it looks like it give a great protection and the hole for the camera button is ok, I really like this one and recommend
How does the bottom feel when holding it with one hand and supporting it with your pinky? Does the bottom cutout with the speakers feel sharp and dig into your finger?

My Woot Apple Silicone case arrived today and I cancelled my Spigen Ultra Hybrid since it hasn't shipped yet.

It is marginally smaller than the Gripmunk case I had been using, but that camera control button is fire. I thought the cutout was fine until I started using this.

We'll see how it does with lint and pockets but so far for $30 seems like a good deal.

The Bellroy in Sienna arrived today. Ordered 9/24 and here in 2 days. Shipped from a distributor in Eastvale for Bellroy direct (although ordered thru Amazon).

Initial impressions are fantastic. The aroma of leather wafting about. Some pics and a vid below for you. There is not much of a lip on the front side but securely engaged. Probably same height off the screen as my ESR screen protector. The CC hole and thinness for the case help make it flat and smooth to get to the button. Feels more solidly built than Apple Leather cases. The buttons are a nice metallic bronze.

We’ll see how it does on the daily and the patina!

How does the bottom feel? It kind like it changes to another material at the cotton by the speakers. When holding it with one hand and supporting it with your pinky, does it ding into your hand? Does it feel sharp?
