Just got my Andar Aspen case in Camel Tan for my Black 16 Pro. So far I'm loving it! The leather feels and smells amazing! It contrasts beautifully with Black Titanium, especially with the black camera surround and buttons. The buttons are very tactile and responsive. Having a cutout for camera control is much better than some other cases where more precise cutouts have impacted the functionality of camera control quite often and the case is tight enough where the corner will not inadvertently come loose. I can't wait to see how it ages over time, especially with the Camel Tan color.

How’s the gap on the front this year? Last year’s was massive… the only case that ended up scratching 15PM due to a piece of crap getting thru the front gap

Anybody using a Supcase UB Grip? There’s a there’s a metal MagSafe ring on the back. The ring’s hinge goes through the back of the case. I’m curious if anyone experienced the metal hinge scratching the back of the phone?

These are really nice! How's the texture on that suede? Not as scratchy as finewoven was?

Told myself I wouldn't be buying cases this year...but I wouldn't consider this a case 😏
Definitely not scratchy, to me it feels really nice, pretty soft (in a good way) but certainly gives good grip.

Guess it's hit or miss on the color. That sucks. I've had previous silicone cases from the XS Max era and never had lines. Again it's not terrible and barely noticeable but still stupid for the price. Just means QC is not up to par.
Why price? The Silicone Apple cases have been so cheap, IMHO. Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy all have the cases at $37. Maybe will go up today, but were $41 or less, since the 16 cases came out. Woot even had them for around 30.

I think since Apple no longer makes leather cases, there are no great cases anymore. Tired of looking and will continue to go caseless in most instances with Apple Care+

Went into the Apple Store to have a look at the silicone cases as I have had them in the past and hated them!

And I still hate them! I guess it's a texture issue for me. I Just need to accept I don't like silicone and move on!

Just wish they still did the leather cases!

So with that said, can anyone recommend a decent leather case for the 16 Pro Max?

Thanks in advance.

London, UK.
My first time with a Caudabe case but I was a bit surprised how hard the case was to put on (Paragon). Felt like I was gonna scratch up the phone trying to get it in. I'm used to the Apple Silicone, which requires very little effort.
I had the same issue with a Caudabe case I got last year for my 15 Pro Max so I decided I wouldn’t order any more cases from them.

One of the reasons I returned, that along with the rough inside of the capture button. Both possibly won't damage the phone but I didn't want to test it.

I have it on my gray but not my black silicone

I have the line on my Denim 16 Pro case. Running exactly midway around the sides of the outer casing

Shocking Apple quality.

You expect this from cheap Chinese knockoffs

I believe this is the full list:

Apple Silicone
Apple Clear
Beats
Otterbox Lumen
Otterbox Symmetry Clear (coming)
Otterbox Defender Pro (coming)
Spigen Ultra Hybrid T
Spigen Tough Armor T
Supcase UB Mag
Supcase UB Grip
How do you know the defender pro is coming out with the camera button cover ? I’m excited for this one :)

Took my Apple Silicone off to clean the phone and to try my Benks ArmorPro again to see if I could live with the cutout and felt a snap. Broke the thin part above the USB-C cutout. Not apart but can see/feel a little dent. I can live with it but annoyed me a bit.

Incidentally I'm not keen on using the ArmorPro. The cutout is ok, it's the thin piece above the hole. It's tight but has enough give for me to worry about grit getting in and rubbing it back and fore in my pocket potentially damaging the phone frame..

These case makers need to get a button on their cases, not enough choice out there and nothing to get me to change from the Apple Silicone yet.

Would probs jump on a Sheath, Spigen Enzo, Benks ArmorPro or Mist or Gripzilla if they added a good button. They are losing a lot of possible revenue on the table.

My otterbox has a button whioch works well, however the ring that protects the camera isn't glued down so it moves around a bit, and rattles if the phone is out of the case

Have you tried the Spigen UHT yet? I was finally able to get one shipped and should have it by the weekend. Hoping it provides a better alternative to the Silicone than the Lumen, which was just OK, not great.

I still have not tried a case with a cutout that I like. I’m perhaps one of those rare individuals who is using the camera control a lot.

I have the ub mag stand with the hinge, the hinge does not go all the way through the case, it actually sticks out the back just a little along with the mag safe ring, surprised if the grip case is different, especially because it is a bigger case.

I saw it was available on UK Amazon now but decided against it after watching reviews on YT. The ease the sides pull out put me off as well as the stand hinge holes possibly letting grit and dust in. Petty I know. 😄

Still might give it an Amazon rent to try it out, lol. I'm sure you'll report your thoughts when it comes. 👍🏻

Also try the suppose ub mag stand, much better than the ob lumen which I also have, the camera sticks out more on the supcase, but I like it better than the lumen, I have it on double click and it works out great, it gives it a extra area to hold on to, and as far as sensitivity, I have no issues at all compared to the lumen.

Mine was the exact same way, and the scratches on the inside were crazy, just got the supcase ub mag stand, which is much better, more grip all around, no scratches so far, and better all around protection while the same size.
