Nice set up .. can you also post a photo of the top area ? I’m wondering if it’s completely open or half way .. Also how long did it take to get this ? Vaja site shows that it ships in 2 weeks .

At the end of the day it’s pros and cons. The really thin and minimalist cases mean less bulk but also less protection. The more substantial cases mean more bulk but also more protection. To me protection is more important for a £1400 phone even though I do have Apple Care.
Absolutely agree! 👍

I actually didn’t know about the Thinborne. How do you like it? Do you have any photos?

I like the way the cutout is exact for the CC on it but not sure how it affects the usability.

It’s pricey though, even more than Pitaka. I’m set on the Benks but just curious on your input.
I have the thinborne for the 15 pro, so as far as usability for the CC I can’t speak to but it has a nice feel to it and it has a nice grip to it (YMMV). If you’re set on Benks I’d stick with that but it’s a great case IMO.

I’ve just received my Benks Montage ArmorAir case and I’m mightily impressed with it.

It’s so thin, more so than I expected which I’m very happy about.
The fit is great.
It feels very premium, it has a sort of slight soft feel to it.

This is probably the nicest case I’ve ever had.

Highly recommend.

Until you chip the metal camera bump….

AFAIK, this is the complete list of cases with camera control that are either currently available or confirmed as being under development by the manufacturer:

Apple Silicone
Apple Clear
Beats
Bandwerk Metal (coming)
Bullstrap (coming)
Otterbox Lumen
Otterbox Symmetry Clear (coming)
Otterbox Defender Pro (coming)
Phone Rebel Gen 6 Aramid (coming)
Ryan London (coming)
Spigen Ultra Hybrid T
Spigen Tough Armor T
Supcase UB Mag
Supcase UB Grip

Please let us know what Speck has to say.

Speck chat danced around the question. They said they don’t have any official word either way if “new cases” are in development. I’m going to guess that’s a no. Time will tell.

If or when I chip the metal camera bump, I’ll still be impressed by the case.
I don’t get all this concern about scratching or chipping the camera bump, not like it’s painted metal or anything.

Not sure why everyone says it’s metal it’s definitely just black plastic which honestly is a good thing for scratch resistance so there’s absolutely no chipping to be concerned about.

It doesn’t fit everyone’s needs but if it fits yours, do you! Enjoy the case, I absolutely love mine!

Not to be pedantic (I know, it’s far too late for that… lol), but I’m pretty sure the camera ring is anodized aluminum, same as on their other models. It’s a very nice case either way!!

Anyone using the beats case ? so far it’s a pretty decent fit and feel … Still can’t believe I only have 4 cases so far compared to the 23 for the 15 pro max lol
Beats, 2 AS cases and the pitaka…
I’m only waiting for the Gen 6 and the Defender with camera control, and hopefully that’s it this year …

Exactly, I completely agree with you.

I bought the case for me, not anyone else haha.

And this case fits what j wanted perfectly.

It literally feels like plastic but anodized aluminum also makes sense. Either way I still am not concerned at all on the camera bump chipping and I put my case on its back all the time.

What I’ve realized with all these cases is that there will always be something to nitpick about with every single one of them. Choose what you like and just enjoy it whether others like it or agree with it or not lol

I got the Caudabe Sheath about 3.5 weeks ago, and I've been using that since. I definitely prefer the Nomad rugged over it, and it'll probably be my daily case, but I wanted to give the sheath a fair hearing before I exit the return window. I have to say that I love the feel of the Nomad Rugged in the hand. While it's slightly heavier than the sheath, it doesn't feel so --it feels outstanding in the hand, but it might be that I prefer holding cases with bigger lips. I also understand that I'm in the minority who thinks the sheath's texture is too rough and it's thinner lip makes it awkward to hold given the weight of the case, and I've pretty much been trying to convince myself to love it given the praise it gets everywhere.

Since I made that first post about the Nomad Rugged's CC hole, I certainly got more used to it, and it's not as bad as I initially stated (I just wish all the brands would do what apple did with the silicone cases). I tried and returned a Nomad sport case (preferring the rugged and the sheath over it) and it's cutout conformed to the same design, the only difference being that the rugged case has the bigger bumper so the indent is more pronounced.
I have been looking for someone familiar with the Rugged case for this years iPhone. I have had this case for the 14 pro and the 15 pro and one issue I had was the back, where the sides met the back it was a step down and it felt sharp sometimes after long periods of use. Did you notice that they leveled this off some? It looks it kind of in some review videos, but the stock pics on their website this area looks the same for each iPhone model year. I will attach a photo of the spot I am talking about. THANKS!

At the end of the day the case is there to protect the phone. We would all like the case not to get damaged but better the case get damaged ( which is far cheaper then the actual phone ) then the phone itself. 😛👍

Here’s the Nomad rugged case (desert color) on the desert titanium pro. I returned the Caudabe sheath in favor of this case on my 14, and I love it so far. The cc button hole is my only gripe. The lip on this case is deeper than average, and you really have to press it with purpose. The scrolling aspect is also tough if you’re using your thumb. This critique of the cc button is relative to the Apple case, which is flawless vis a vis the button (but I prefer the nomad in every other respect).
What colour phone do you have? Nat Titanium?

Just received my Spigen Tough Armor T and it's definitely going to protect better than the Supcase UB Grip I was using to this point..but I still have to say I'm not fully impressed.
There always seems to be some sort of unnecessary hole in the case for dirt and dust to get into.
On the Supcase it was the lanyard cut out, the hinge for the grip, and a hole by where the grip folded.
On this Spigen case there's a massive hole in the rubber where the Apple logo is on the phone and the hinge also has enough room to let in dirt/dust.

I hot glued all of these things on the supcase but even just using it the month since launch day there's a ton of debri/dirt/dust inside the case upon taking it off just now.
Probably going to tape over the hinge on the inside of this one and attempt to tape over that massive hole.

I use my phone to film freestyle BMX in all sorts of conditions multiple times a week so all I really want is a protective case with a CC cover and no unnecessary holes.
Loved my Defender XT on my 14PM but there's no sign yet those will get a CC cover. I remember the rubber on the regular defender would stretch pretty badly over time so while that does look like the next option to try when available, I don't have high hopes for longevity.

For ~$21, I can't complain too much. Just a little disappointed in what's out there for protective cases so far.

Is the Spigen case nice and tight around the sides and top and bottom ? I recall past Spigen cases were weak in those areas ..

The top is super snug. Bottom is also pretty snug on the sides and then understandably not as much where the usbc port is. The volume side moves a bit but not awful and the power button side is pretty good.

I don't know why I got it in my head that this was going to be the end all be all case for $21ish but it's honestly great in most other aspects aside from what I mentioned. It's like the good fast cheap thing except the choices are protective, cheap, functional.

Not sure where you got that screenshot. None of the item pages I look at show that.

I can say for a fact that my ArmorAir Aurora‘s camera bezel is plastic. I can push on it and flex it in the middle. You can also see the mold line for the plastic injection mold.

Scroll down on the above page.

I had an ArmorAir briefly and the camera ring looked and felt like aluminum (cold, and made a “clink” sound). Not sure what’s up, maybe two versions?

Have you tried Quadlock? I use it on my motorcycle... Beefy case but clean design and has both magsafe and mechanical locking action. It's my most protective case and I've used it on week-long trips, 8 hours a day on the road and a little bit of trail time. They also give a military / first responder discount.
