Just received the Meifigno camera control case. Just a regular case, nothing about it is special or overwhelming, but with the lack of CC cases out there as everyone well knows, it will probably be my daily driver until phonerebel or something better comes out. I like it better than the Ultra Hybrid T frost black due to the sides not being the see-through ish black plastic. Fits well with the Ultraglass anti reflective screen protector.
I ordered the same one, and I’m sticking with the speed. The fingerprints on the meifigno are too much for me

Apparently Otterbox cancelled making the Defender with a camera control button. just got the email.

Wow for a big company like Otter to cancel this must mean it’s really difficult to implement or Apple does have some sort of fee to use the tech ..I’m disappointed, was actually looking forward to it…..

I was thinking the difficulty was doing a camera button through a thick, multi-layer case.

Yeah, though Spigen managed it.
The Spigen case is a one piece, multi-layer case.

The OB Defender Pro, as it exists now, is actually multiple pieces that get assembled. So OB would have to not only add a CC button, but also figure out a new assembly method that doesn't have multiple pieces. (I'm assuming you can't make a CC button that breaks in half for assembly) I think that's the problem that was insurmountable.

The planned Defender with CC button had the traditional two-piece frame design with the button integrated into the front frame. It’s impossible to know what the insurmountable issue was, but it didn’t seem to be the frame design. All conjecture, of course…

Back in the Sheath
That really is my favorite all-time case. As the novelty of the 16PM wears off, I find I'm using the camera button less than I thought. Give me a good Black Friday sale, and I may be back.

For now, though, I have the Spigen Tough Armor T, the Apple Silicone, and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T (Graphite). The latter is my daily driver.

Guess I’ll really be saving money this year .. thanks Apple 😂
Only cases I’ll have are
- lumen (black and have green on order)
- Apple Silicon
- Apple Clear
- Pitaka tactical

I just decided to get the closed bottom Dark Leather case from RL, (with expedited shipping) even though I have the same color in open bottom on the way. I think I may like closed bottom better. If not, I will have a backup case lol.

By the way use code Halloween15 for 15% off your RL order (expires Saturday).

I have both open-bottom and closed-bottom RL cases. I prefer the open-bottom one, but both are excellent. In my opinion, they are the best leather cases available.

I might cave myself and also get both  I'm a glutton for punishment
I’m pretty happy with the Tough Armor for my heavy duty case, so I’m going to try to resist. If I can’t contain the urge, I’ll wait for the button model. That said, after both Bullstrap and Otterbox gave up on the button, I’m a bit concerned that Phone Rebel could back out too.
