Tried it for the 15 Pro Max.

It’s a good case, it’s like a Sheath texture (less aggressive texture) and Synthesis side grips (less aggressive as well) with a big plus it’s so much lighter than the Caudabe cases.

The fit was nice, buttons were clicky. No real complaints especially for the price point. I’ve had their iPad cases in the past and I liked those as well.

I got it because a friend of mine intrigued me to try it. I ended up returning it. It was late in the cycle of the 15. I was satisfied and finishing the yearly cycle with my Synthesis as I don’t really collect cases.

This year looks identical to last year’s so I think you’ll like it. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Sticking with Benks ArmorAir for me.

JBlass you da man, appreciate you

Do you think that case affords sufficient protection for a waist high drop?

I have it for the 15 PM as well. I think it provides great protection for waist high drop. For me there are 2 issues with this case:
1. For me it felt heavier that Caudabe
2. It was harder to clean the case if it got dirty ( especially the stone color).

I really liked the round action button and the texture of the case but eventually I decided to go back to Caudabe (and now for Dbrand)

For the time being that I had it, I had black so cleaning/dirt/stains wasn’t an issue. I can see how with that type of case the lighter colors could discolor after a while.

So interesting that you thought it felt heavier. I instantly felt that it was lighter when I put it on vs having gotten used to the weight of the Synthesis on my 15PM. That’s actually one of the things that stood out the most for me.

Oh absolutely! It’s not a super slim case or anything, it’s got a little bulk to it, I remember the corners feeling more rounded vs Caudabe feeling more flat which doesn’t necessarily mean it’s more or less protection but I wouldn’t be concerned about a small drop at all with that case.

The TineeOwl and the Sheath for the 16PM both weigh 50 grams, Synthesis 49 grams.

What’s the otterbox statement , it just popped up on Apple’s site. Can’t tell if it has a cutout

Yikes lol not sure what those numbers were for 15PM. But anyway not a case I’m getting this year, I’m all in Ultra thin. I’m just giving my feedback based off of last year’s trial run with it.

Edit: just looked it up it was 48/49 grams (two different videos) last year for TineeOwl and Synthesis was 45 grams.

So strange it felt lighter. I watched Brian’s Tech video and he weighs then says you don’t feel it, it feels nice and light in the hand. It didn’t feel heavy to me last year. Oh well then I take the weight aspect back then.

I think grip affects the perception of weight. Cases that have more grip require less effort to hold onto, so they end up feeling lighter. That’s my hypothesis anyway. 😊

They’re promoting that phony “eco-friendly” cactus leather again. Cactus leather is composed of approximately 70% polyurethane (the stuff skateboard wheels are made from) and 30% cactus fibers from pulp. Let’s call it what it is: non-recyclable plastic. For the record, I have no more problem with plastic than the next person, but the fake eco-friendliness needs to be called out.

And yeah, it looks like a cutout.

Opinions needed please...

My sisters 16 Pro Phone Rebel Gen6 case came with a little dent where the Phone Rebel sign is (circled).
I know it's very little and can hardly be seen but she spent £20 on shipping (very expensive) as well as the price of the case which is why she is thinking to send it back and is being extra picky. She contacted Phone Rebel and they said that they will offer a $20 refund for the defect or she can send the case back (I think they will not pay for the shipping).

Would you send the case back or is the defect very minimal and not worth the hassle?

Absoutely, positively not...unless she didn't order one with a dent.

So in your opinion it's not worth sending back? I think how expensive the shipping costs were is why she expected the case to be perfect with no defects/
Sorry the sarcasm didn't come through clearly (I've been accused of that before!). She should definitely send it back if it in any way detracts from her happiness with something she paid very good money for (and to ship to her).

That is true
But I think if Phone Rebel do not pay shipping the case back for a replacement, then maybe she will lean to accepting the partial refund.

Phone Rebel will provide a return label, more than likely you will just receive another one with different flaws.
I've been through 3 and they all had defects.
