Can anyone recommend an alternative to Speck Presidio?
I love this case and been using Speck grip cases for years but I’m always down for a change.
I love the feel of the Presidio. But they tend to last 2 years (plastic hole breaks) then I replace.
Anything similar?

I don’t actually mind the Torras 360 now the phone is inside. I think I may still go for the Otterbox Lumen for a bit of colour though.

Also using the ESR glass screen protectors which came with the device to apply them which I’ve never used before and wow, what a game changer! So easy and not sat there trying to align the protector then remove more dust with sticky tape, align again, another rogue dust particle, align again then BUBBLES!!

Anywho, here’s some photos of the Torras 360 with white Pro Max and ESR glass.

Is that the ESR Ultra glass or the reg one?

The Black iPhone 16 Pro really stuns in the white Speck Candyshell Grip! It's a really stunning combo, and their implementation of camera control is quite a bit better than many other manufacturers. I have no problems using control center aside from getting used to the gestures and using it in my workflow. overall I'm very happy with my purchase!

Nice! Any pics of the other side so we can see the CC cutout?

What other cases have you tried (you mentioned this cutout being better than other implementations)?

Thanks…

Caudabe Sheath is similar but not quite as grippy. I used the Presidio Grip on my XS, used the Sheath on my 13 Pro. I like the Presidio grip better and it's what will be going on my 16 Pro as soon as it arrives today, but the Sheath would be my second choice.

MagSafe on the Sheath holds well. People have complained about the MagSafe leaving an impression in the back of the case, but I use MagSafe for 99% of my charging and have a MagSafe holder in my car, the case for my 13 Pro has absolutely no MagSafe impression after 3 years of use. I can't speak to the more current models though.

Cool. Checked out the Sheath.

But I’m so used to Presidio.

Have one on the way.

Glad to hear you prefer the Presidio too.

I dunno how people don’t use a case.

I just can’t. Will never know why.

Nice! It seems like white cases are so hard to find.

It's such a little thing that may be insignificant to a lot of people, but I like that the Presidio case has slightly rounded/convex sides - it makes it easier to pick the phone up off flat surfaces, and more secure to hold. That was the biggest difference I noticed when I started using the Sheath, which has flat/square sides.

I can't go without a case either, but I know why - I live in the desert next to a lake, my phone is outdoors a lot and bounces around in a lot of hot, dirty, dusty, wet places. When it gets here today, the first thing that will happen when it comes out of the box will be installing a screen protector. The second thing that will happen will be that it goes into the case. Then all the actual setup can begin.

Anyone get to test third party cases with the camera button cover today? The Spigen perhaps?

People harshly acted like third party cases with a big gap/groove in the capture button area were lazy, but after using a case with a small precise cutout instead today, I think the big opening is smart. The button is too shallow for anything but a capacitive cover or a big gap to comfortably press it.

Which case did you test with the small cutout?

Bought a mujjo to go with the DT PM. Seems to be a nicer leather this year.

(Pardon the pics on a chopping board lol..)

This seems interesting. Really like leather cases.
How does the cutout feel with the camera-control button?
Is it hard to press in and swipe?

So, very happy with my plum Apple case. Feels great, looks great and the camera button works very well.
Would like a tad more lip but there we go.

Benks Mist, not overly keen as it's a tad easy to pull out at the sides and the bridge over the button cutout is weak.

Benks ArmorPro is firm as it's a TPU coated pc shell and is good apart from they got rid of the metal buttons. Cutout works ok but prefer it covered at the mo and so will be sticking with the Apple for now.

Hope all your orders are being delivered safely...went black titanium this year after going natty. Man this black is dark and clean. Loving this choice. Still waiting on a bunch of cases from multiple companies, so in the meantime I am going with my budget king of 2024, black frosty Spigen right now

Still transferring data, but ESR Armorite also was a clean success. No black border screen protector to keep that natural slim bezel look

I’m waiting on my phone to come in. But I have the armorite to put on when it does. Did it really have no dust under the screen? If so, as someone who hates putting on screen protectors, that’s a game changer.
