Oh no! That's on them because it's supposed to already be attached, at least mine was. But when a clear sheet came out I did first think that it was the protector (just its backing, it turned out)!
I did mine while I was at the Apple Store right out the box. The genius thought it was cool how similar it was to their machine.

At first I thought I pulled the screen protector off when opening the contraption as the long film was still attached to the front of the protector. Wish the protector was truly edge to edge but can’t complain perfect install.

I’ve ordered the Natural Titanium Pro, but I’m struggling to choose a case.
I’m really not into any of the clear or plastic ones like Spigen.
Coming from the 13 Pro Max, I always went with Apple’s leather cases. I tried the silicone case at one point but didn’t like how it rubbed against my pocket and felt kind of cheap.

I’ve seen some leather cases from Bellroy that seem decent, but it’s a shame Apple discontinued their leather cases they were the best.

Samsung had an Alcantara case at one point, which was awesome (that soft nubuck-like material they use in premium sports car interiors). I wish Apple made something like that as replacement for those awful Woven cases.

Spigen Ultra Hybrid T with the camera control button works flawlessly! Works just like the Apple cases.

Supcase not so much. It works just not as good.

The ball is in all these other case companies court.
Do you like the Spigen case more or less than Apple? I’m debating the clear Spigen or just an Apple Silicone, depending on what’s thinner feeling

Can you causally see the side of the phone where the camera control button is from the back? Seems to expose that edge of the phone more than the power button
The camera control cutout barely goes past the phones edge but there's enough material that it doesn't expose the edge of the phone. The power button cutout sits maybe 1mm past the power button.

The camera control cutout on the Gripzilla is really well done, no complaints there. I’m not a fan of how big the corners of the case are now though compared to the 14 series Gripzilla. I’m gonna return and go for the Gripmunk this time, and potentially a Caudabe case in the future depending on what people have to say about the lineup.
Is the cutout firm at the screen lip section? No pull?

Here’s my black 16PM in the black Apple Silicone case (also have a stone gray). This case looks and feels great: simple and clean, slim and comfortable, grippy but not too grippy, fits like a glove but not overly tight. As others have stated, the Camera Control cover works flawlessly, exactly the same as the uncovered button. I know this case is somewhat of a lint magnet, and in the past they haven’t been particularly durable, but I’ll just buy another if it starts coming apart. In the meantime it will definitely do the job until either more third-party manufacturers revise their camera buttons, or the iPhone 17 comes along next year.

This new capacitive button is controversial, with some claiming it’s useless, while others are saying it’s a game changer. I think for your typical non-photographer it’s unlikely to be very useful, but for those who use their phone as a secondary—or even primary—camera for more serious work, it’s going to change how they use the device. I, for one, am super excited and can’t wait to get out and give it a more thorough workout. Hoping the case makers figure out the button cover as it would be great to have a rugged case with a nice button like the Silicone for photography outings.

Is the black a fingerprint/ greasy hand magnet? Just my experience in the past, but these cases to seem different.

The silicone does feel slightly different this year, and so far the fingerprints aren’t as bad as I remember, but I think perhaps it’s too early to tell. I’ll have a better idea in a few days. I also bought the Stone Gray as a backup in case the lint and fingerprints become annoying.

Yeah I got the Lake green and Plum. Been rocking the lake green, and it seems good so far. Wanted the all black combo, but was afraid of the fingerprints. Keep me posted. The combo is fire.

Those with apple silicone case, have you used it with previous iphones? Does the firmness hold up? Will the lips get loose with time and start showing the metal edges of your phone (stainless steel/titanium)? And then when you drop it, the phone fly out of the case and scuff the edges?

Here’s the Nomad rugged case (desert color) on the desert titanium pro. I returned the Caudabe sheath in favor of this case on my 14, and I love it so far. The cc button hole is my only gripe. The lip on this case is deeper than average, and you really have to press it with purpose. The scrolling aspect is also tough if you’re using your thumb. This critique of the cc button is relative to the Apple case, which is flawless vis a vis the button (but I prefer the nomad in every other respect).

I would say the fit is much, much tighter this year. I mean I am actually surprised how tight it is.

Okay, are we all charging our new phones up to 100% or doing that 80% deal?

So I didn’t have a 15 pro series, so never had the limit, but after two years of the 14 pro I am paying close attention to battery. The phone told me to keep it charging while transferring the data, so I did. But I will try not to charge to 100% much at all.

That's my only nit as well. I was surprised that it doesn't go edge to edge, but I assume there's a reason for that (?) and don't think it'll bother me at all.

Yes, I’ve used the silicone cases with my 8 and 12 phones.

Yes, the firmness holds up. The edges don’t get loose.

I’ve dropped my 12 Pro Max a million times on tile floors. The phone does not (and can not) come out of the case.

I did manage to break a corner of my first silicone case when I dropped the phone. But the phone was unscathed. The second case is still on my 12 three years later.
