You would think Apple's diagnostics would pick up on it, unless they just don't want to know.
Heres some pictures , i dont know what to do , i saved 4 years money to buy this phone and i live in a kinda remote countryside so its hard for me to go to a apple centre and i think ill live with it unless they give me a new phone and not a refurbished , i want a NEW one

It clearly is defective. Don’t live with it: it costs a lot of money and you deserve a functional one

Update now out of anger i cracked the screen and i only have normal applecare so they wont change **** now i wil live with it
You saved money for 4 years to buy the phone only to destroy the screen out of anger? Damn. You're SOL now unless you pay to have the screen replaced. You should've contacted Apple and let them send you a refurbished phone. They look and perform as good as new. Maybe still contact them to see what can be done, but you'll likely need to pay now.

Apple can’t do anything without AppleCare+
I think the screen repair is $349

No way im paying that , i hope the robot who made my screen catches on fire and burns down the whole factory , im way too young(16) to pay 350 and i saved 1400$ in 4 years hardly without spending on useless stuff like games or extra snacks

I went to my appointment today. They finally could see the issue and even said it came up during diagnostics. Not sure why it didn't the first time.
Anyway, they did a screen replacement which ended up costing me nothing (of course).
The price said $349, then $0.
Took over 2 hours but I am glad my brand new $1000 Pro Max works like it should.
Thanks everyone for your help.

An happy ending !
Very interesting they did a screen replacement instead of give you a refurbished unit.

I wish you best of luck, since you are young, but with that scratch they will probably deny the replacement under warranty. But give it a try anyway !

A happy ending, yes. (And thanks for the story) But if you consider the whole period and your own annoyances, there should also be compensation, after all, you paid good money for a manufacturing defect.

I actually did not mind the screen replacement (over a replacement) when all is said and done.
I don't need to set up a new phone, everything just works.

Trust me, the pixel comes back. Mine got gradually worse.

Either way would be fine for me. I was just curious because an in store screen replacement surely is more difficult than just give you a refurbished and send your phone to a lab to make the screen swap. Apple probably changed policy.

Somewhere at the time of the iPhone 14 or so, Apple made screen replacements much easier, even Best Buy does them. (I may be telling you something you already know).
