Thinner camera control button is wild. It’s small as it is. That doesn’t look usable. I hope they exclude it.

Hope everyone enjoys their loose TPU top part of the case. I have a feeling full TPU cases like the Sheath and Onyx won’t be so highly regarded like before.
I feel like the iPhone design team is just phoning it in now. “Let’s just take the flash and sensor and move it to the other side and call it good. Oh, and while we’re at it, let’s switch back to aluminum from titanium to save a few bucks.” I’ll be keeping my 16PM.
I’m anxious to see what Jony Ive is up to at OpenAI. That could be a very interesting device, unlike these new iPhones.
I might skip upgrading this year. If not I’ll probably go for Air.

Agreed. I could live with an ugly photo module if there was a good reason for it, but Spatial Video ain’t it.
i had a pixel as a secondary phone a few years ago. i can’t remember the model. but my case from peak design was totally ruined by taking it off by popping of each top corner and pulling it back off. just below the large opening for cameras was weak and it bent easily and deformed immediately. i think it will be a good idea to remove cases from the bottom if the rumors are true. here’s a pic where i marked the weak points of my case.
I know I said I wasn’t going to upgrade to the 17PM this year, but I’m going to upgrade this year and stick to skins. I’ve been using them since March/April of this year, and don’t like the bulkiness from cases, so I’ll get used to the bigger camera bump in no time.

Benks is usually early with theirs, I always end up in the ArmorPro so will just stick with that again. Maybe a UAG Pathfinder if they add a camera button this time. Miss having one of those, the cutout was just too big for me to entertain on the 16 Pro Max.
I would entertain a Sheath with an extra set of buttons if they can get their bums in gear this time. Not holding my breathe and certainly won't get one with only 2-3 months 'til the 18 Pro Max. 😄

My hope is that Apple offers a viable premium case (not silicone or FineWoven), which would save me a boatload of time/money/hassle. That’s assuming I upgrade, which is not a given.
