I just got my Pitaka case and have the same concerns of scratching (as well as it breaking when trying to take it off). My ghost case should be here today so I will have to go through my own evaluation but I am curious which way you are leaning or are you keeping both to use in different scenarios?
Oh I wont be keeping both, nor swapping back and forth.
If I already had the skin on those uncovered parts (orange) - I would 100% stay with the pitaka.
Because my phone is IUP I'm just trying to avoid extra spending on situation when apple would refuse taking it back next year, and make me replace it under apple care.
I dropped my 16 pro in past and in all situations the only visible damage was to the pitaka case itself, and shattered screen protectors - sadly pitaka edges sit so low that the protector is always above.
I don't mind the dbrand ghost 2.0 case. Using it as we speak and its nice. Definitely gives my mind a peace. Besides the camera lenses sitting below the case, everything else is covered. It also has a very minimalistic lip around the front screen protector, which is nice. Feels grwatnin hand.
If it wasn't due the potential scratches I would not even be searching for some other options.
However, I do drop keys and phone often together, and from past experience it scratched the screen protectors. With knowing that, the scratches on the aluminium casing would have been inveintable.
I will do a bit of more research on skins and go from there.
