Caudabe said that only a small batch of Sheaths are affected. I don't have data to support their statement. Personally, I think that all Pro 7s are affected but they are hoping that most people don't notice the rattle that much.

* Sheath - iPhone 17 Pro (Precise) - Black
* Sheath - iPhone 17 Pro (Precise) - Celestial Blue

Shipped via "USPS Ground Advantage" from Cincinnati, Ohio.

I had contacted Caudabe a few weeks ago (probably back in September) saying that I could not decide between Black and Blue, and asking that if I ordered both, could I send one back.

Support got back to me on Oct 4th, confirming that I had 30 days to decide to send one back. I then went and placed my order.

I sent a complaint on October 9th about the major delay and requested a free set of replacement buttons in shade "Sand" as compensation. They honored this request.

The contrast of the Sand buttons against the celestial blue case looks very nice.

I've used the Sheath since the iPhone X and am happy to say the quality/fit is on par to previous generations. As already reported, both the stock case buttons and replacement buttons rattle. The rattling is far beyond acceptable tolerances. I have already requested replacement buttons from Caudabe after they implement the fix.

I was using the Ringke Onyx as a placeholder while waiting. TBH, the Ringke is an amazing case. At 1/3 the cost, I would say the quality/feel/cut outs are on par. The only major con I had with that case was that the camera button wasn't covered which left a hole on the right side of the case that felt odd whenever my fingers brushed past it.

If they can truly fix the button issues, the Sheath is truly the perfect case. If you are still waiting for your order, hang on a little longer. The wait is worth it. Just make sure to check your buttons.

I got the Totally Scarf with Magsafe. Extremely thin. Minimal protection. But keeps the thin feel form factor. I love it.
 
I pre-ordered the sheath in grey for the 17 pro with buttons and a screen protector. I am in Korea and on the 10th was notified that the order was shipped with Yun Express. Then on the 15th the tracking updated to say it had been returned to sender. Haven't had a response from Caudabe. Sounds like some of the earlier Suti posts.

Yea, I only have the 1L as it's perfect for just a phone, charger, battery pack, wallet ETC. I just use the smaller bags for daily travel as I hate lugging around so much stuff. Lately, I've been just using the AER Slim Pouch 2 with an Alpaka strap on it.

Oct 4th? Wow. Still waiting for a mid-Sep order myself.

I had the same experience with Caudabe a few years ago

Never buying anything from them ever again
