Here we are, it’s the middle of January and Caudabe still only offers one case, in two colors, for the Air. Pretty sad. Given that they’ve been claiming to offer “minimalist perfection” for years, you’d think they’d embrace the opportunity to show what they can do for Apple’s “minimalist” iPhone option. I guess, perhaps, that minimalism is no longer actually their thing.
Most likely it isn’t cost effective for them to offer more choices for the Air.

I would say it leans more purple imo. Really just depends on how you see it. Very fine line between a hint of purple and blue.

Would you say it looks like this a majority of the time? (Pic from instagram)

I suppose. Many of their direct competitors have offered plenty of options though, so it seems like a possibility if it was a priority, which it obviously isn’t.

Frankly, it’s no big deal to me because I generally don’t like their cases nearly as much as I used to.

Same thing for the 17. I’ve walked away from Caudabe at this point.

Yeah, if it's not the Pro or Pro Max, I feel like most case companies don't bother or put in as much effort. Pretty frustrating at times. There's usually enough options overall, but you're often stuck with the "boring" color options/styles. I understand the economics of it to a degree, but as most of us will agree, finding the right case or having multiple options is important and us Air or regular 17 owners are missing out on some cool options.

Edit: I'm surprised the regular 17 is treated similarly to the Air since the regular is supposedly a big seller. But, I think it makes sense if you figure the base model is supposed to be for the "everyday" user and not the enthusiast like the Pro/PM. Research probably shows that Pro/PM owners are more likely to spend more money on cases/accessories.

Yeah there’s a decent amount, but nothing close to the pro/pro max

In reality, wiith 10+ cases, all of which I prefer to the Sheath, I’m not missing out on anything. I think it’s this forum’s obsession with the brand that makes it annoying… 😂

I have about 10 cases, but only 5 "models" of case. I thought I would just make a post with the weight of the cases in one place for reference. These are all 17 Pro Max cases.

TechWoven 34g
Apple silicone 35g
Pitaka Summa 36g
Caudabe Synthesis 49g
Caudabe Sheath 53g

I am not sure how (in)accurate my scale is, but my naked phone its comes in at 234g, and Apple says it is 233g. So fairly close.

The thing we all have to think about is that in about 8 months all these cases will become redundant. Year after year I buy a load of cases (just bought another tonight) only to be unable to sell them. I remember being able to get a good price on Apple/Caudabe/Andar/Nomad etc cases but now it's hard to sell. I've even offered great cases to friends and family and they have all refused! I offered my nephew all my 16 PM cases (Apple, Andar, Caudabe's, Nomad, Spine, RYAN London) and he just said "nah, I'm Ok with this one" ( a crappy cheap one)

Let's face it. We are all MAD!! 🤣

That’s why the best thing to do is buy 1 good case to use outside of the house and go commando with a glass protector for the MagSafe block and a screen protector 🤣🤣🤣. Not much money wasted 🤣🤣🤣
