Anyone try the Caudabe Crystalshield Elite AR? Says AR coating and also no rainbow.
Would also like to know if the black borders cut into screen at all? This one looks good but if it's like the ESR then it will cut into a couple of pixels on the side.

Torras OrigArmor is piece of junk - within 3 days it's full of scratches from regular day to day use.. basically phone sits on desk during work and in my pocket if I am out and about. Awful anti scratch quality. Highly not recommended! View attachment 2557588View attachment 2557589View attachment 2557590View attachment 2557592View attachment 2557593
Welp after having my torras on for just a day or two I can confirm I too have a couple of veryyy fine scratches. Only noticeable in direct light

I still think it’s the best protector I’ve used, applied perfectly feels smooth edges curved nicely etc.

If it looks really beat up in a few months I’ll see if torras is true to their warranty

Do Torras warranty replace the OrigArmor screen protector if it cracks? That’s the only way I would buy it, especially because it’s $34.98. I love the ESR Corning, but the black border cuts into the screen.

Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit. Spigen has been my go-to screen protector dating back to the iPhone 7. Haven't had a reason to buy anything else since then.

Didn't even have to buy one this year - still had a leftover from the 16 Pro Max two pack. Same SKU for the 17 Pro Max and fits great. No complaints.

Same, been using them for years, never had an issue. Inexpensive, so if I crack one it’s no big deal to replace. I rarely crack them, but my wife does every couple of months.

I’ve had my 17 Pro Max just over a week now and haven’t gotten a screen protector yet. I would like to know a couple things:

1) How long does the ceramic coating last for on the screen? Once the coating has disappeared is there something you can do to get the screen ceramic coated again?

2) If I put on a screen protector and decide I don’t like it and take the screen protector off will that destroy the original ceramic coating on the screen?

3) Can anyone recommend the best ceramic coated anti glare screen protector for the iPhone 17 Pro Max that has been tested and don’t have any black borders and don’t change the screens brightness, colour and quality? Share your experience and if you have any before and after pictures could you please show me

What do you mean? The anti reflective coating? If so I assume it's infused in the glass so it's nothing that wears off. That's how it is on Samsung phones anyway.

A good choice? Will it cut off some screen like the WSKEN? Is it worth the money?

I have the WSKEN on my air and I really can’t tell there’s any screen cut off. Take my word with a grain of salt though as I’m now an old man and have been proven by my wife to be wrong every so slightly.

What in the Wild West is this about... would drive me nuts looking at my phone though that logo

Get the origarmor, it’s better than the flolab, and its oleophobic coating lasts longer. Flolabs wears off fast
I went with the origarmor anti reflection and the fit is almost perfect. There’s maybe one single row of pixels covered on the left side. It’s not even noticeable unless I’m looking for it. The anti glare is definitely good. I put it next to a phone with a flolab 3d and you can see the flolab anti reflection is a little better. I can barely see myself in the reflection with it and with the torras I can make out my own reflection. It also turns sky reflections purple and the flolab just sorta dims them out. I can post some comparison pics another day. But I would say that the torras anti reflection is maybe 85% as good as the flolab is. But the oleophobic coating and smooth edge feel is definitely better on the torras. Very happy with my purchase and thank you all for recommending it!

Would be nice to see the pictures if you get the time 😊

The attached JPEG file may be useful for checking if your screen protector is blanking out any pixels (note: not my image, found it posted elsewhere). I have the Touras OrigArmor installed on my 17 Pro Max, and no pixels are being lost on both the horizontal and vertical sides. However, I do lose a little bit on the corners (a bit more on the top corners), but really not enough to worry about. All in all, it's a great screen protector, and I would recommend it.

I just put on the Benks matte screen protector from Amazon for $27. It is fantastic.

I come from matte film screen protectors since the iPhone 4. I haven’t been happy the last few years with them.

This is my first glass one and I am pleased.
Yup Benks is the best matte screen protector. I’ve tried multiple ones. Unfortunately they don’t make it for the Air just yet.

I do also lost the corners with Benks GlassWarrior Sapphire, but i really don't care. And i'm an app designer. :)

I'm quite satisfied with the touch feeling as well.

So, despite going protector-less on my 13 PM, 14 PM, 15 PM and 16 PM and avoiding scratches, I have my first scratch on my “much harder to scratch” 17 PM.

It’s only about 2mm and can’t feel it with a nail, but it can be seen. So I decided to get a protector on my screen.

Went with the ESR armorite 7x ultra tough with the fancy applicator. £15 for 3

Was a breeze to fit and can’t tell it’s on. The applicator certainly takes the faff out of applying screen protectors nowadays. The adhesive also seems to have “filled” the scratch so it’s not noticeable with the protector fitted.

Happy.

This is in my cart waiting to order on Tuesday.

Had these arrive and fitted one this morning. The most painless screen protector application ever. Perfect fit. Well worth it.

Yep. I had 2 and both had scratches right out of the box. Maybe it’s the AR costing but as good as they fit and look they do scratch easily. Still keeping the second one on until flolabs releases their 3d edge next month.

Yeah add me to the list of people with a scratched Torras OrigArmor. I got a line straight down the middle of the screen protector - no idea how.

They're replacing it, which is great, but it definitely seems like something changed in the glass formula for Torras and it's softer this year.

Have one of these on my 16 and it was absolutely worth it. I'm guessing the one for the 17 is the same.

Can anyone recommend a matte screen protector for the iPhone 17 with rounded edges?

Ideally something like the FloLab NanoArmour Onetime Max Matte Anti-Glare 3D Infinity Edge?

I emailed FloLab and they currently don't have plans to release said version for the iPhone 17.
