Spigen privacy poor coating

So whats the consensus on the best screen protector?

Seems as usual Torras have needed a few revisions to get things right
ESR seems ok if you are happy with rainbow effect or black borders eating into screen estate

I'm trying not to fork our £40 for FLolab but they seem to still be the best?

My WSKEN is ok for a budget protector but it eats into screen real estate and the oleophobic coating is nothing to write home about. Its very strong and scratch resistant though

I got my Shellrus as backup as well for when I start seeing microscratches on the OrigArmor.

Btw, based on some reports from people that have installed the Shellrus on their iPhone 17, it apparently cuts into the screen ever so slightly on the left and right. If you don’t already have it, can you view this image and see if it also cuts into the screen?

I contacted Shellrus regarding this but they refused to believe the issue and asked if I wanted a replacement instead. 😂

Secondly, can you also check if there is light escaping from the edges of the protector?

Thanks!

FloLab released their 3D edge for the 17 series

I have the Torras OrigArmor on and it fits great, but I miss the better glare reduction and being able to see the screen with polarized sunglasses on.
Thanks, ordered this so I’ll see how I go. Anyone else got one? For anyone looking to buy there was a code “FB25” for 25% off the Flolab.

For those interested, I applied a transparent matte plateau skin ordered through http://xtremeskins.co.uk/ to help guard against scratches. Pretty happy. Have one tiny dust particle in there near the camera, but it’s not overly apparent there’s anything covering the camera are. A colleague had to take a second look when I showed them, after thinking I was showing it pre-application. As per my previous comment, if you ‘customise’ the skin you’re ordering, you can order just the plateau parts and not pay for a full body skin.

Is this the one everyone was waiting on? Or is there another Flolab still to be released? How would this compare to the Caudabe CrystalShield Elite one that also says AR and no-rainbow?

Did you ever get the Caudabe AR Elite? If so, thoughts?
Yes I did. I still have it in the box as the cheap one I got from Amazon is still on and doing well. I plan on keeping this one on until it cracks or scratches before I put the Caudabe on.

I got the first version that was release from Flolab. The left edge covered about 1-2 pixel width. I got a replacement and that also did the same. I reached out to customer service and they said that the first model they have (non-3D) covers the screen and that their upcoming 3d version does not. I asked for a refund and they said no. Why would they knowingly sell something inferior? They only offered 50% off their new 3d screen protector. Communication with them takes at least 5-7 days for them to respond back as well. Not too happy with Flolab and won't be buying any of their stuff in the future.

They did the same to me last year, ended up with 50% off the 3d one and that one still slightly covered the borders lmao

Yeah i'm now wary of ordering the Flolab version. Especially for the price point.

Even on the latest reviews listed below the newest 3D version, there are still reports of the black border eating into the screen

As it stands i don't think anyone who makes a black bordered protector has managed the tolerance levels to avoid eating into screen estate

It seems the best way to avoid that is to get a clear screen protector, but one with no rainbow effect.

Torras OrigArmor doesnt eat into the screen real estate, but many reports of micro-scratches. I haven’t experienced any, but I haven’t used my phone a lot yet.

Getting mixed reviews online with some saying it does

My OrigArmor does have some scratches to be honest (especially around the bottom left part of the screen), and I’ve been using glass screen protectors on every iPhone since the 11 Pro Max, upgrading every year, and haven’t had any scratches on any of the previous models.
That said, keeping it completely honest, the fit and coverage on this thing is so good that I’m willing to put up with a few scratches instead of suffering with a Flolab or something else that might end up misaligned or eating into the screen with poor support. Only thing I’d change it for would be another OrigArmor if they were to release an updated version with better scratch resistance.

Can you let us know how the fitment is when you get a chance to install it. Hoping it doesn't eat into any of the pixels.

my guess is the install wasn’t done properly, maybe the tabs were over-stretched and the protector shifted when it was rolled, etc.

If you have a perfect install, then it shouldn’t cut into the screen. I tested mine using the image below and the L-corners did not cut off on the left and right sides.

I’ll aim to respond. I’m in Australia so we’ll see how long it takes to arrive.

Currently using an ESR that I got prelaunch that has a black boarder and eats into the display a bit. Really hoping for the money that the Flolab won’t and that going closer to the devices edges, when in a case, make the side bleeding less noticeable than what I have now.

It’s not looking good for the new Flolab NanoArmour ONETIME PRO according to this review:

Hey, how do I enable those like triangle you have in the corners? I just got my flolab screen protector and feels small, light leak on the side is definitely there and I want to see if it cuts into the screen.
