The Torras Origarmor really seems to have a perfect fit this year. Installed it on Friday. So far no scratches also, overall very pleased with it.

The ESR screen protector on my Air has soooo many scratches. Wondering if the scratches would just show up on the screen protector but not on the Air given its tougher screen. Debating if to just not use a screen protector

I haven’t been using one and have been pretty impressed by the new screen. I had a 14 pro before and it got a scratch pretty early on so I slapped a Spigen protector on it.

With this phone I haven’t noticed a single micro scratch after a few weeks of using it. It definitely seems tougher. I don’t really put it face down that much and haven’t taken it to the beach yet but still no scratches (ymmv). Also since the new screen has AR it kinda forces one to buy a more expensive protector at ~$35-$40 for one as opposed to $20 for two. Because of this I haven’t bought any. And also never feel good with the applicators being large single use plastic contraptions.

I have been looking around for the best anti-glare screen protector for the 17 Pro Max and have only been hearing about the new: Flolabs NanoArmor 3D and the Torras OrigArmor that seem to be the top ones people always mention.

Has anyone tried both of these brands and which one is the better one? Which one that the black borders don’t cover the screen? Any pros or cons?

Is there any other brands for anti-glare screen protectors that are better than the two I have mentioned that I don’t know about?

Need to make up my mind soon and need to select the best one to buy…..

All these years I was using FloLab. Last year on 16 series used ESR and Spigen.
Now on 17 Pro I’m back to FloLab. Oh man, the anti reflective coating, the anti glare, the oleophobing coating, the screen colours, all are so much better compared to the previous two choices.
Haven’t tried the OrigArmor, but from the reviews here I think it’s a matchup to FloLab.
I’d choose the latter because it has lifetime warranty (if it break just message the support, you pay only shipping costs and you’ll have a new one).

Can you give us an update / review on the Flolab whenever you get a chance to put it on. Been waiting on a review from you and the other guy @Smigit. Thanks in advance.
Ok, FloLab 3D screen protector arrived today to my place in Australia. Ordered October 14, so not super quick at almost 2 weeks. It seemed to sit still when it hit AU for a while so maybe it was caught in customs or something, I’m not sure.

Firstly, here’s the results. I got a nice clean install with no dust under it in the end. This is going on a 17 Pro Max and looking front on it’s really not clipping anything, or if it is it’s a pixel or so. If you look at an angle the elevated black edge might mean you’ll loose a bit, but I’m happy and was expecting more cutoff based on some peoples comments. Personally, I would have accepted a small amount over being concerned that the Torras might be a bit too susceptible to scratching up. The ESR I had initially from had more.

Any marking in the pictures is just my finger prints and poor job wiping it down for the photos (was more concerned with showing clipping)

Now, the install was a bit of a pain this time due to a number of bubbles spanning about half the length of the left of the phone and basically right up the right. Ended up having to resort to lifting three of the corners as I couldn’t push the bubbles out the side. Fortunately no dust got in when doing this (I had used a steamy bathroom to help with respect to this) and it all looks good now. I like that they give the full body sticker with these ones but as a pre-install dust remover.

It’s night time so I can’t really comment on outdoor use. Polarised sunglasses seem fine with it when used indoors. I also can’t see any light leak from the side if I look at my phone side on, as the ESR I had on previously had.

Man thats a perfect install! Let us know how the oleophobic coating holds up, i used flolab the past 3 years and the coating was always crap after 2-3 weeks

If I notice anything I’ll get back. Have had FloLab in the past and haven’t noticed any issues, but that’s probably just me not being overly observant of it and being used to running phones for 2-3 years with the same protector on it.

I'm using this Flolab on my 17 Pro Max, the screen protector is really good. Shipping took 5 days from China to Canada, and the installation was easy. I had two small bubbles that came off after using the squeegee. AR coating is good, I haven't tested the anti rainbow coating yet.

I’m so tempted to purchase this especially since I have a 20% off code that expires in 48 hours. My Torras OrigArmor that I installed on Oct. 4th has micro scratches that can be seen under sunlight and indoor lighting. I don’t have any cracks which is a good thing though.

Try FB25 for 25% off. There is also FB20 if yours expires.

Pretty sure both still work.

Apparently I have one of them ol’ defective screens, I’ve just heard about while trying to get one installed at the Apple Store they went through 3 of em before figuring out the screen was just defective. They’re gonna replace my phone when they get my model and color in. lol
