Some would argue that a case with a microfibre or lining would cause wear because they would trap dirt. Especially microfibre.

It’s a complete non issue for 99.9% of people. Spend five seconds every few days to wipe the phone and you won’t have a problem
Yeah, the issue isn’t the case. Anodized aluminum has always been susceptible to wear and scratching, doesn’t matter if it’s a phone, watch, or motorcycle part. I think people have forgotten this after having stainless and titanium phones in recent years.

You are right, and no case I am aware of has a lining on every contact point. It is a good habit regardless to take the phone out and wipe both the device and inside of the case every so often.

Not necessarily true, go back and look at the wear on the black titanium model and polished stainless steel models. I had both and can say they get pitting especially around the edges where dust ingress is highest.

Aluminum is softer but the previous models were not invincible.

To add back to the case discussion here is what I have tried so far. Not pictured is the open paragon.

It’s only anecdotal, but I’ve had black (or space gray) phones every year going back to the early days—never had pitting or chips on any of the stainless or titanium models, had some on Al phones though.

Yeah I’ve seen plenty of posts about the older models having issues as well. Definitely not to the same extent, but it was an issue back then. Thankfully, I never experienced it on my older iPhones and my current 17PM.

is the new tineeowl magsafe stronger than sheath?

I need help with case for my wife. I bought her Air recently with Apple Clear case and crossbody strap, but it's too slippery for her. She also tried Arc, but she needs something more resistant - she placing phone to purse.
I think something more bulky, but ideally with crossbody support.

Shame, that she can't use Arc Pulse 😄

DBrand tank and get something to adapt it for crossbody use if required.

Yeah, same 😂
Honestly, nothing really stands out in a "I never want to use another case ever" right now. However, my current rotation is Sheath, Flolab and Mous. I would love to use the Grip more often because it looks so good, but all the issues with a lack of drop protection and weird structures inside the camera plateau cover just make me hesitate. Might have to try the Tank at one point. ^^ The Rhinoshield AirX is also great, but the lack of proper buttons just gets on my nerves after a while. Guess my collection is not done yet. 🫠 But since I'm not getting a new iPhone this year, most of the cases will see some usage over time. Can't sell them anyway here in Germany.
I have the same issue in Croatia, sold Apple Silicone in one day while Paragon, Native Union and Flolab 0 interest on different marketplaces.

Looking at picking up a Caudabe Synthesis for the 17 pro. Anyone that’s used it, does the frosted back or the black sides show a lot of fingerprints or get oily or greasy? Those are major no no’s for me.

Also, what are the sides made of it and what do they feel like? I love the feel of the black Otterbox Symmetry, the harder/smoother type of material, not silicone or anything like that. Is the Synthesis close?

Any major downsides I should know about? Thanks!

The Mous Limitless has double mounts for crossbody lanyards, and at 43 grams the weight is good for a highly protective case.
