Did you ever have the otterbox symmetry this year? That may be the last one I would try, the 16 and 15 versions were solid (even with the cutout on 16).

That half baked MagSafe gives me pause though.

I’ll second everything @Hooterville said. Black symmetry was my go to case every year. I always loved the fit, the feel of the case in hand, etc. Pretty much everything about it.

This year it was a massive disappointment. The MagSafe was subpar, especially when trying to use a MagSafe wallet because they got rid of the alignment magnet below the circular array for *aesthetics* (their words when asked, not mine). Not only that, but the magnet array inside the case is covered up by a cheap sticker that came loose for me. Similarly, so did the sticker covering the camera control button. Came right off when pulling it out of my pocket one day.

The case also fits so tightly around the corners and overlaps just enough to make any edge to edge screen protector impossible to use. It lifted every one I tried to use in the bottom corners leaving constant air bubbles. Extremely annoying.

I’m done with Otterbox unless they make some serious improvements going forward.

It's very nice in hand. Weights 33g, CC button is good for press, but not so much for swipes. Other buttons is perfects. This case have animation when putting on phone 😳.

I feel like they need to streamline their offerings, and get back to basics (quality, fit, color etc.).

Got this cool mini green tool box today at Harbor Freight. Great to keep my 17 Pro Max, Air Pods, Watch and sunglasses in. Every time I go into HF I come out with a ton of crap I didn’t go in for. $18.99 and it’s nice quality.

You were fortunate and got the newest version as well. It has drawers that extend open farthest, and a better design at the front of the top lid.

I am not concerned but understand concern for the blue or orange owners where scratches are more noticeable. Personally, I prefer the contrast between the case and exposed silver plateau.

I have a few Spigen cases for my 17Pro and they cover the plateau. I chose a silver 17Pro since all of my previous phones have been black. I use one of the clear Spigen MagSafe cases and it's one less thing to worry about scratching/etc. I do agree, though, that the silver contrast is nice with a dark case in particular.

Yea, I was surprised with the quality of this little box. Almost feels like it has ball bearing drawers and a magnetic closure. It would be great if they would make a bottom box to match.

I didn't realize there were two different versions out there.

Agreed. They have so many models now it’s no wonder they can’t keep on top of QC.

The TW finally arrived yesterday and after a couple of days of using it, I have to say I’m hooked! Right now I feel like this is up there with the old Apple Leather cases and maybe even better!
It has tons of grip but doesn’t feel sticky!
It feels great in hand and the TW material is in a different league than the old FW cases- not even close!
This is definitely staying! Extrem happy with this case so far!

Wife is very satisfied. The phone feels great to hold, doesn't slip, and it even has holes for a crossbody strap.
But we didn't tested magsafe strength yet.

This time Arc Pulse clone. Very interesting. Top part is better, because is in line with top frame of the phone. But looks more robust.
Bottom part is sharp and very uncomfortable to hold. But for $34.15 is very good deal.

I am looking to buy the Cadaube Synthesis for my cousins birthday. What colour case and buttons would go best with the Silver iPhone 17 Pro Max? One of the advantages of the Silver iPhone is the fact that most cases go with phone. I know Caudabe recently released a Blue Caudabe Synthesis, but I am guessing it goes with the Blue 17 Pro Max.
