iPhone 17/e/Air/Pro/Pro Max Cases

What do we think about the Mous camera plateau cover design?
I think it would be better with precise cutouts like the Sheath or Paragon?

A valiant attempt to do something different/their own, but I was hoping for a better (IMO of course) closed design, like Caudabe's.

I've never been a fan of camera bumps to begin with, but Apple's doubling down on them with the 17P has only been exacerbated by case makers' lazy designs by just erecting walls around the plateau, and calling it a day.

Sure, part of that is to facilitate the vanity some have of showing off that they have the latest model, with the huge "forehead" in clear view, but every time I put my phone in my pocket and feel that stupid walled fortress attached to the top resisting, it bugs me to a noticeable extent. It extends beyond whether the phone rocks when placed on a tabletop.

I’ve seen complaints about alignment issues with just about every case with precise round cutouts. This seems likes a more forgiving design.

It is, but for $70 a pop, they afford to dispatch someone to China to verify the QA of the production line, and the product it churns out.

If my $20 Spigen can do a good job in that respect, Mous certainly should be able to as well. Gotta do something to justify that $50 premium.

Great in the hand, great fit. Don't really notice the slightly raised/ sides. Very little orange on the face poking through, no button rattle.

*Anyone needing some premium cases, I'll likely put a bunch for sale in the next day or so. Really like so many of them but come sept, they will be in drawer along with my current stash of 15PM and 16PM cases.

Returning the mous.
Made the max a bit big and heavier v my Bellroy, and I prefer the leather grip on the sides.
Big lip on bottom is a bit annoying swiping up.
Solid case though, probably better on the small pro which I had last time.
Was worth a try.

Mous has permanent staff in China to oversee quality control, design, and manufacturing.

Gave in and ordered the blue techwoven. Saw someone with it out and it looked SO good with silver.

Too bad the only way to buy their cases is from their store directly lol. Dangit.

They should have just brought back the Denim Silicone from the previous 16 Pro for this Spring. Even that would’ve been a great match for the Deep Blue 17 Pro

I know cases are all personal opinion but the Paragon is too slippery imo. You need decent grip especially with a big like the 17 Pro Max.

The Apple Silicon Case in Vanilla arrived today. The color looks really nice on the silver PM!

Ok.. As you can see, the Moft does that too… but it doesn‘t bother me for some reason lol.
With the Apple silicon cases you cannot see the color from your iPhone from the front. ;-)

Also in that photo it looks like the CC button area is slightly warped.

Yes, I can see the silver color from the front. 🤨 But it is not so bad as it was with the TechWoven… It does not bother me here.

And yes, you are right… the CC Button area is slightly warped. 🙁 I think I will give it back - but I will buy it again, because I really like it very much.
