I was not sure. The Gen7 is really minimalistic and there’s just not much material acting as a cushion here. I still think it’s not the best at absorbing the force going into the phone. But I definitely trust it more now. I still prefer the PR Air over the Gen 7 though. Wish that one came with the TPE corners.
You don’t mind fingerprint smudgey aramid?

Doesn’t really bother me. It’s really not that bad. And I always have something to wipe down my phone around anyway.
However, like I said, I prefer the Air, which has no Aramid back and no metal parts. Much nicer overall.
Oh yea forgot about the PR Air, priced nice too $22 USD.

Had a chance to rotate back through some cases this week. Collection got a bit out of hand…

Sheath is up there, best Caudabe case for me this year and maybe 1a/1b with the Tank overall. Personal preference of course, people can defend to the hills whatever case they want as the GOAT.

Does the Air have the shock absorption stuff in the corners ?

honestly i dont feel its an issue for me, and im really nitpicky when it comes to these things...
been running the gen 7 as a daily again and the only issue is its sharp af camera ring
I have not noticed the top being real flimsy either. I have also not noticed any more “debris” than what you usually find at the bottom of a case.

I have over 20 cases here to compare and the Gen7 is among the worst debris collectors here. The only one worse is the Apple clear case. That one really takes the cake. The Rhinoshield Air X is also a special contender. I found a puddle in mine once 😂
And on the other end of the spectrum you have the Dbrand Tank, that completely seals your phone off from the outside world, with hardly a speck of dust to find after a week.🏆

What case do you use as your daily driver?

I usually swap every few days. The last few swaps were Tank -> Mous Limitless -> TineeOwl DuneX (awesome little case!) -> PR Gen 7 (put it on yesterday and pried it off today to find the top part already full of dust after only 12 hours… it’s really a marvel how that is possible with the case being so hard to remove). Today I’m back in the Tank, which might be my all time favorite out of all of my cases now. But it’s going to be interesting to see how the phone handles the heat in the summer in these full coverage cases. Might use open pleateau ones more often then.

I’m surprised with the PR since the Mous and TO are open. What do you think makes the PR do that compared to the Mous and TO?

I see!
I would have gotten then Tank for my sister who is after a rugged case. But the illuminati eye on the case will put her off I know. I have no idea what dBrand were thinking lol

The Mous and TO also collect a bit of dust around the camera pleateau. But the fit is snug and tight on the top. On the PR, the top is rather loose. See here:

Do I see the top bezel showing a bit from the front too above the dynamic island?

Don’t know if I would like that much maintenance with the PR. Even Four Eyed Tech Guy made a comment about it.

The Tank is the real GOAT this year, not that flimsy @ss TW 🤪
